The Tapo P110M turns any ordinary appliance into a smart one and tells you what it costs to run. It is Matter-certified, so it slots into Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Samsung SmartThings, and its compact body leaves the neighbouring socket free. Energy monitoring in the Tapo app shows how much power each appliance draws and estimates the bill from your own electricity rate.
Matter-Certified for Any Smart Home Platform
Matter lets the P110M work alongside other Matter products in the ecosystem you already use, with Multi-Admin support for controlling it from more than one platform at once. Setup is by Bluetooth onboarding in the Tapo app, or by scanning the Matter code in a compatible app. Matter control through a third-party platform requires that platform's own hub.
Energy Monitoring That Shows the Real Cost
Enter your electricity rate and the Tapo app estimates the running cost of whatever is plugged in, with power use shown in clear charts. It is an easy way to find the appliance quietly adding to the monthly bill. Energy monitoring is read through the Tapo app; it is not yet available through Matter.
Schedules, Auto-Off and Away Mode
Set appliances to switch on and off on a schedule, cut power automatically to anything left on too long, or let Away Mode switch lamps on and off to make the home look occupied. Power Safety can also cut the supply when usage passes a threshold you set, and everything is controllable remotely from the Tapo app or by voice.
Built for Safe Everyday Use
The housing is UL94-V0 flame-retardant PC, and the plug adds overload protection, a child safety shutter and anti-rust contacts. It is rated for a maximum load of 2990 W, 13 A, for indoor use only. It does not support EV charging and should not be used with appliances whose motor or compressor exceeds 1/6 HP, such as an air conditioner.

The Tapo P110M is set up and managed in the Tapo app and is Matter-certified for use with other smart home platforms. It is a consumer smart plug and is not part of TP-Link's Omada or VIGI business ranges.

Frequently Asked Questions — Tapo P110M
Does the P110M need a hub?
Not for the Tapo app: it connects straight to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. A hub for your chosen platform is needed only when you control it through Matter on Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings.
Can I see energy use in Apple Home or Google Home?
Not yet. Energy monitoring is not yet supported by Matter, so power readings and cost estimates are viewed in the Tapo app.
Can I use it for an air conditioner or EV charger?
No. It is rated 2990 W, 13 A maximum for indoor use, does not support EV charging, and should not be used with appliances whose motor or compressor exceeds 1/6 HP, such as an air conditioner.
