The Tapo C520WS is the top of the Tapo outdoor pan/tilt line: 2K QHD 4MP on a steerable head covering 360 degrees, an IP66 housing, a 93 dB siren, 12x digital zoom and a wired Ethernet port for sites where Wi-Fi is not dependable. It is the model to specify when one camera has to do the work of several.
2K QHD 4MP With 12x Digital Zoom
Video is captured at 2560 x 1440 through a fast 3.18 mm f/1.61 lens on a 1/3 inch CMOS sensor, at a default 15 fps and up to 30 fps. Twelve-times digital zoom lets you push into a recorded frame after the event, and 3D DNR with WDR keeps backlit gates and bright afternoon glare from washing out the detail you actually need.
360 Degree Coverage From One Mounting Point
The motorised head pans through a 340 degree mechanical range for full 360 degree coverage and tilts through 90 degrees, giving a 360 degree horizontal and 130 degree vertical view. One unit on a corner replaces the two or three fixed cameras and the cabling a compound would otherwise need, and you re-aim it from the Tapo app.
On-Device AI Detection and a 93 dB Siren
On-device machine learning handles motion, person, pet, vehicle, line-crossing and tamper detection, with activity zones so a busy road outside your gate does not generate alerts all day. On detection the camera can trigger a 93 dB siren measured at 10 cm together with its two spotlights, and two-way audio with noise cancellation lets you speak to whoever is there.
Ethernet or Wi-Fi, 512 GB Local Recording, RTSP and ONVIF
A 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port on the camera means you can run it on cable where a 2.4 GHz signal will not reach reliably, which on a boundary wall or a metal-clad building is often the difference between a camera that works and one that drops out. Recording goes to microSD up to 512 GB with no compulsory cloud plan, and RTSP and ONVIF are published for third-party recording software.

Compatibility & Software Support
The Tapo C520WS is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi camera and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges: it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed by VIGI NVR software.

Can I run it on a network cable instead of Wi-Fi?
Yes. The C520WS has a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port on the camera body, so it can be run wired where a 2.4 GHz signal is weak or congested. It still needs its own power adapter; this is not a PoE camera.
How is it different from the Tapo C510W?
The C520WS steps up to 2K QHD 4MP (2560 × 1440) from the C510W's 2K 3MP, is rated IP66 rather than IP65, adds an Ethernet port, 12x digital zoom, line-crossing, pet and vehicle detection, and a 93 dB siren against 90 dB.
Will the siren and spotlights trigger automatically?
Yes. Detection events can trigger the 93 dB siren and the two spotlights, and activity zones let you limit which parts of the frame count as an event.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Two years local Singapore warranty. TP-Link Singapore's replacement warranty policy places the outdoor camera series on a two-year term rather than the three-year default. Every Tapo C520WS sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
