The RV20 Mop Plus pairs the 78.5 mm MagSlim™ LiDAR robot with a 27000 Pa auto-empty dock. It maps the floor properly, vacuums at 2700 Pa, mops from a 300 ml tank at four water levels, then docks and empties its own 350 ml bin into a 4 L dust bag. Everything it picks up ends up in the dock rather than in your hand.

When a run finishes the robot returns to the dock and the base draws the 350 ml bin clear at 27000 Pa into a 4 L dust bag. TP-Link states the dock empties the dustbin after cleaning to keep your hands free for up to 70 days, qualified in TP-Link's own wording: "Testing is conducted by Tapo Lab. Actual emptying intervals are subject to change due to usage and environmental factors." Budget for the dock's 950 W maximum working power when choosing where it lives.

MagSlim™ LiDAR Mapping in a 78.5 mm Body

MagSlim™ LiDAR and a gyroscope build a high-precision map, which is what enables multi-floor mapping, virtual walls, no-go zones and zone cleaning in the Tapo app. Keeping the sensor out of a raised turret holds the robot to 78.5 mm, so it clears low sofas and bed frames. Obstacle avoidance and anti-drop protection are fitted, with a 20 mm barrier-cross height.

2700 Pa Suction, H11 HEPA and 51 dB

Four suction levels up to 2700 Pa, Carpet Boost on rugs, dustbin detection and an H11 HEPA filter. TP-Link rates the machine at 51 dB. The suction figure is qualified as measured "according to IEC 62885-2:2016 / 5.8 standards, using Max mode with a full battery at the inlet of the suction fan blower." TP-Link also states the sweeping width as 383 mm, against 260 mm on the Tapo RV10 - fewer passes to cover the same floor.

Mopping and App Control

The 300 ml tank meters water across four levels, so hard tile and timber can be handled differently in the same run. Real-time tracking, scheduling and the mapping controls all sit in the Tapo app, next to your Tapo cameras, plugs and lights. The robot joins 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.2 for setup only, supports Amazon Alexa and Google Home, and has a child and pet lock.
