The Tapo L520E is the simple way to make an ordinary E27 fitting smart. It gives a clean 4000 K daylight white at 806 lumens, the equivalent of a 60 W incandescent, dims from the Tapo app, and follows schedules, voice commands and Away Mode with no hub required.
Comfortable 4000 K Daylight
Daylight white at 4000 K renders objects vividly and naturally, which suits kitchens, study desks and work areas. A 220 degree beam angle spreads the light evenly, and the bulb reaches 95% brightness in one second or less.
Dimmable From Your Phone
Adjust brightness in the Tapo app to suit the task or the mood. Save a favourite brightness as a preset and recall it in one tap whenever you sit down to work.
Schedules, Sunrise and Sunset
Create a regular schedule to switch on and off at the brightness you choose. Sunrise and sunset modes switch the light automatically according to your time zone, so the porch or hallway light looks after itself.
Voice, Remote Control and Away Mode
The L520E works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and can be switched from anywhere in the Tapo app. Away Mode turns the light on and off at random to make the home look occupied while you are travelling.

Can the L520E change colour temperature?
No. It is a fixed 4000 K daylight bulb that dims. For tunable white and colour, look at the multicolour Tapo bulbs such as the L550E.
Does it need a hub?
No. It connects directly to your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi and is controlled in the Tapo app, by Amazon Alexa or by Google Assistant.
Can I use it with a wall dimmer?
Dimming is done through the app and cloud only, so use it on a standard on/off switch and dim it from the Tapo app or by voice.
