TP-Link Tapo Home Security Wi-Fi Camera (Tapo C100) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Tapo C100 is the entry point to the entire Tapo range: a fixed 1080p Full HD camera with night vision, two-way audio and local microSD recording, at a price that makes putting a camera in a second or third room an easy decision. Setup is the same Tapo app used by every other model, so it mixes freely with the rest of the family.
1080p Full HD From a Fixed Lens
A 1/3.2 inch sensor behind a 3.3 mm f/2.0 lens records 1920 x 1080 at 15 fps with H.264 compression. For watching a doorway, a corridor, a cot or a cash drawer, that is ample — the resolution only becomes limiting when you need to identify a stranger across a large room, which is where the 3MP C110 earns its extra cost.
Night Vision to 9 m
An 850 nm infrared LED covers up to 30 ft in complete darkness, which spans a normal room or hallway end to end. Since the camera is fixed rather than motorised, the view at 3 am is exactly the view you set up during the day, with nothing to drift out of position.
Two-Way Audio and Local Recording
The built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio, so you can listen to a room and speak into it from your phone. Recording goes to a microSD card of up to 128 GB, with no subscription required — Tapo Care cloud storage exists as an optional paid service, but nothing about the camera's core function depends on it.
Encrypted in Transit and Simple to Place
The C100 joins 2.4 GHz networks at up to 150 Mbps on 802.11n with WEP, WPA or WPA2-PSK, and TP-Link specifies 128-bit AES encryption with SSL/TLS for the stream. At 67.6 x 54.6 x 98.9 mm it is small enough to sit unobtrusively on a shelf, and mounting screws and a template are included for wall mounting. It runs from a supplied 9 V 0.6 A adapter on a 3 metre cable.

TP-Link does not publish a siren decibel rating for the Tapo C100, so none is claimed here. This is a fixed camera — it has no pan/tilt motor.
Compatibility & Software Support
The Tapo C100 is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi camera and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges; it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed by VIGI NVR software.

Frequently Asked Questions — Tapo C100
How much storage does the C100 take?
MicroSD cards up to 128 GB, purchased separately. That is the lowest ceiling in the Tapo camera range — the C110 takes 256 GB and most of the pan/tilt models take 512 GB.
Does it pan and tilt?
No. It is a fixed camera. For whole-room coverage from one unit, look at the Tapo C200, C210 or C220.
Does it need a subscription?
No. Local recording to microSD is free. Tapo Care cloud storage is optional and paid.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Three years local Singapore warranty, per TP-Link Singapore's replacement warranty policy. Every Tapo C100 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
