The Tapo L510E is TP-Link's warm-white smart bulb: an 8.7 W E27 lamp putting out 806 lumens at a fixed 2,700 K, dimmable from the Tapo app or by voice, and connecting straight to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with no hub or bridge in the way. It is the entry point to the Tapo lighting range, and the model to choose when you want schedules and dimming rather than colour.
806 Lumens of Warm White, Dimmable Without a Dimmer Switch
The L510E produces 806 lumens at 2,700 K across a 220-degree beam angle, which is the familiar warm tone and spread of a standard household bulb rather than the cooler cast of many smart lamps. Dimming is handled inside the bulb and driven from the app or by voice, so you get smooth brightness control on a circuit with an ordinary on/off wall switch and no dimmer module, no neutral-wire work and no electrician. Rated lifetime is 15,000 hours.
Direct Wi-Fi, No Hub and No Bridge to Buy
The bulb joins your existing 2.4 GHz network over IEEE 802.11b/g/n and talks to the Tapo app directly, so there is no hub, gateway or proprietary bridge in the chain. That keeps the cost of a first smart-lighting point to one bulb, and it keeps the failure modes simple: if the Wi-Fi is up, the bulb is reachable, from the same network or from outside the house. Setup runs from the free Tapo app on iOS or Android.
Schedules, Away Mode and Voice Control
Beyond a simple on/off, the Tapo app gives you timers, repeating schedules and an away mode that varies the lighting to suggest the house is occupied. Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant are both supported, so the bulb answers to spoken commands for on, off and brightness alongside whatever else is on those assistants. Grouping several L510E bulbs lets a whole room respond to one instruction or one schedule.
Standard E27 Fitting, Straight Swap for an Existing Bulb
Physically the L510E is an ordinary E27 screw-base lamp at 115 x 60 mm, running on 220-240 V at 50/60 Hz and drawing 73 mA, so it drops into the fittings already in most Singapore homes and offices without an adapter. Installation is unscrewing the old bulb and screwing this one in; the pairing happens afterwards, in the app. The bulb carries CE and RoHS marking.

Does the Tapo L510E change colour?
No. The L510E is fixed warm white at 2,700 K with adjustable brightness. If you want tunable white and colour, the Tapo L530E is the multicolour bulb in the same E27 fitting and the same 806-lumen output.
Do I need a hub?
No. The bulb connects directly to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and is controlled from the Tapo app. There is no hub or bridge to buy.
Can I dim it from the wall switch?
Dimming is done in the app or by voice. The bulb should be used on a normal on/off switch — leave the wall switch on so the bulb stays reachable.
