TP-Link Solar-Powered Security Camera Kit (Tapo C460 KIT) - 2 Years Local Warranty
The Tapo C460 KIT pairs the 4K 8MP Tapo C460 battery camera with TP-Link's Tapo A201 solar panel in one box. The camera's 10,000 mAh battery is topped up by the panel through a Type-C connection, so the camera can stay on the wall rather than coming down for charging.
Camera and Solar Panel in One Box
TP-Link's package list for the kit includes the Tapo C460 camera, the Tapo A201 solar panel with its bracket, an extension wire, waterproof seals and screw caps. The A201 connects to one camera only, via a Type-C output, with a maximum charging voltage of 5.2 V and a maximum charging power of 2.5 W. TP-Link states 45 minutes of sunlight is enough for its test workload (1000 W/m2, 25°C, AM1.5, up to 300 s of use per day).
10,000 mAh Battery as Backup
On dull days the built-in 10,000 mAh lithium-ion battery carries the load. TP-Link rates it at up to 200 days per charge on its own, based on laboratory tests with 270 seconds of use per day. The camera is rated IP66 and the A201 panel IP65.
4K Starlight Imaging
The 1/2.7" starlight sensor and 3.17 mm F1.65 lens record 4K 8MP (3840 x 2160) at 15 fps with a 134° diagonal field of view, 18x digital zoom, 3DNR and WDR. Four 850 nm IR LEDs reach 14.9 m in black-and-white mode, and two spotlights provide colour night vision on motion or on demand from the app.
Free AI Detection and Flexible Storage
Motion, person, pet and vehicle detection with custom activity zones work without a subscription, and 24/7 Capture takes interval images when nothing is moving to save power. Recording goes to a microSD card up to 512 GB (purchased separately) or Tapo Care cloud storage by subscription, over 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

What is the difference between the C460 and the C460 Kit?
The same camera; the Kit adds the Tapo A201 solar panel, its bracket and an extension wire so the battery is recharged by sunlight.
Can one A201 panel charge two cameras?
No. TP-Link states a solar panel can only connect to one camera.
Is a charging adapter included?
No. A USB adapter cable is included, but TP-Link notes the 5 V, 2 A adapter is not.
