TP-Link Battery-Powered Outdoor Security Camera (Tapo C460) - 2 Years Local Warranty
The Tapo C460 is a wire-free 4K 8MP outdoor camera powered by a 10,000 mAh built-in battery, with a starlight sensor, two spotlights, dual-band Wi-Fi and free on-camera AI detection. It mounts on a magnetic base, is rated IP66, and can be paired later with TP-Link's optional Tapo A201 solar panel, sold separately.
10,000 mAh Battery, No Power Point Needed
The C460 runs on a 10,000 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery, so it can go where there is no outlet. TP-Link rates it at up to 200 days per charge, based on its laboratory tests with 270 seconds of use per day including recording and live view; actual life varies with settings, usage, router and environment. The 5 V, 2 A charging adapter is not included, and TP-Link lists the Tapo A201 solar panel as an optional add-on.
4K Starlight Sensor with Colour Night Vision
A 1/2.7" progressive-scan CMOS starlight sensor behind a 3.17 mm F1.65 lens records 4K 8MP (3840 x 2160) at 15 fps across a 134° diagonal view, with 18x digital zoom, 3DNR and WDR. At night there are four 850 nm IR LEDs rated to 14.9 m for black-and-white vision, plus two built-in spotlights for colour night vision that can be motion-activated or app-controlled.
Magnetic Base for Quick Aiming
The adjustable magnetic base lets the camera be re-angled or removed for charging without unscrewing it. It can be wall- or ceiling-mounted, and the box includes a metal plate, camera bracket, screws, anchors and mounting templates.
Free AI Detection and 24/7 Capture
Motion, person, pet and vehicle detection with activity zones run without a subscription, backed by a 120° motion sensor. TP-Link's 24/7 Capture feature takes images at a set interval (every 1 s to 60 s) when nothing is moving, and switches to normal recording when motion is detected, to save power while leaving fewer gaps.
microSD or Tapo Care Storage
Recordings save to a microSD card of up to 512 GB (purchased separately) or to Tapo Care cloud storage by subscription. The camera connects on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi with 128-bit AES encryption and SSL/TLS, and works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

No. The standalone C460 ships without a panel; TP-Link lists the Tapo A201 as an optional add-on. The Tapo C460 Kit bundles the camera with the A201.
