TP-Link Tapo Dual Lens Pan/Tilt Security Camera (Tapo C245D) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Tapo C245D gives an indoor space two 2K 3MP cameras in one unit: a 3.1 mm wide-angle lens that holds the whole room in view and a 6 mm telephoto lens on a 360 degree pan/tilt head that tracks and magnifies whatever moves. Free on-device AI recognises people, pets, vehicles and sounds such as a crying baby or breaking glass, and footage stays on a microSD card of up to 512 GB.
Wide-Angle Overview Plus a Pan/Tilt Telephoto
The fixed wide-angle lens covers 121.8 degrees diagonally while the 6 mm telephoto lens pans through 340 degrees (360 degree coverage) and tilts through 70 degrees (100 degree coverage), each recording 2304 x 1296 with up to 10.8x digital zoom. Two separate areas, such as a living room and a doorway, are monitored at the same time from a single device.
Synchronized Smart Tracking and One-Tap Focus
When the fixed lens detects an event, the pan/tilt lens automatically pivots to focus on and track the moving object. Select an area in the wide-angle view and the telephoto lens turns to it instantly, and Patrol Mode cycles through up to 8 preset viewing points on your own schedule.
Free AI Detection for People, Pets, Vehicles and Sounds
Motion, person, pet, vehicle and line-crossing detection run alongside tamper, glass-break, bark, baby-cry and meow detection, with no fee for the alerts. Activity zones narrow motion, person, pet and vehicle alerts to the parts of the room that matter.
40 ft Infrared Night Vision, Two-Way Audio and Open Standards
Six 850 nm IR LEDs give black-and-white footage up to 40 ft (12 m) in complete darkness. Two-way audio with noise cancellation lets you talk through the camera, traffic is protected with 128-bit AES encryption and WPA3-PSK support, and RTSP and ONVIF Profile S let third-party software pull the stream.

TP-Link publishes no weather-resistance rating for this model (the row reads "/") and describes it for indoor settings, although one smart-assistant line on the same page calls it an indoor/outdoor camera; treat it as an indoor camera. The mounting row lists ceiling and wall only while the installation text also mentions placing it on a desk. Night vision is infrared black and white only; no spotlights are published. Compatibility & Software Support
The Tapo C245D is set up and operated through the Tapo app, which manages every Tapo camera, doorbell, plug, bulb and sensor in one place. It is a consumer Wi-Fi device and is not part of the Omada or VIGI business ranges: it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller and it is not managed by VIGI NVR software.
