PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 8-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch (TL-SF1008D) - Local Warranty
The TL-SF1008D is an eight-port Fast Ethernet switch in a 135 mm case drawing just 2 W. It is a deliberately simple product: 10/100 Mbps ports, no fan, no configuration and no PoE, for the places where Gigabit is not required — legacy terminals, door controllers, POS lanes, building-services panels and test benches.
Eight 10/100 Mbps Ports, Plug and Play
Eight Fast Ethernet ports with Auto-Negotiation and Auto-MDI/MDIX, so any patch lead works either way round. There is no web interface and nothing to set up: the uplink goes to the router or upstream switch and the remaining ports serve the endpoints. For equipment that will never exceed 100 Mbps, paying for Gigabit ports adds cost and nothing else.
2 W Draw, Fanless, Very Small
The whole switch draws a maximum of 2 W and dissipates 7.0 BTU/h, from an external 9 V DC / 0.6 A adapter, in a 135 x 79 x 23 mm case. There is no fan and no noise. That combination — tiny, silent, near-zero power — is what makes it practical inside control panels, under counters and in wall boxes where a larger switch simply will not fit or would need cooling.
Flow Control and Back Pressure for Mixed Equipment
802.3x flow control handles congestion on full-duplex links and back pressure does the same for half-duplex legacy devices, which matters on exactly the kind of mixed-vintage equipment this switch tends to serve. A 768 Kb buffer absorbs short bursts, and store-and-forward switching discards corrupted frames at the switch instead of passing them to the endpoint. Data rates are 10/100 Mbps half duplex and 20/200 Mbps full duplex.
Green Technology
Green Technology reduces power draw on idle ports and short cable runs, which on a switch already rated at 2 W means the unit is effectively free to run. Combined with the fanless design there is no consumable, no filter and no moving part — a switch of this type is normally left in place for the life of the installation it serves.
Ideal For
Singapore sites with Fast Ethernet equipment — POS lanes, access-control panels, older printers and terminals, building-services and industrial control cabinets — where eight cheap, silent, maintenance-free ports are all that is needed. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Reproduced exactly as TP-Link publishes it for the V11 hardware; V9 and V10 are also listed. No switching capacity, packet forwarding rate, MAC address table, jumbo frame, physical security lock, EAN or carton pack size figure is published for this model, so those rows are omitted rather than calculated. The certification row lists FCC and RoHS only, with no CE mark stated. TP-Link's replacement warranty policy names Unmanaged PoE and Unmanaged Gigabit/10G switches in its five-year tier; a Fast Ethernet unmanaged switch is not listed in any tier, so no duration is stated here — please ask SourceIT to confirm the term for your order.
Compatibility & Software Support
The TL-SF1008D is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch with no PoE. There is no web interface, command line or controller adoption.
| Port Speed | 10/100 Mbps only — this model has no Gigabit port |
| Omada SDN Controller | Not supported — this model cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller |
| Omada App / Cloud Access | Not supported |
| Web Management | None — unmanaged, plug and play |
| Power over Ethernet | Not supported — this model does not supply PoE on any port, and it is not PoE powered |
| If You Need Gigabit or PoE | Choose the TL-SG1008D or TL-SG108 for eight Gigabit ports, or the TL-SF1008P / TL-SG1008P for PoE — ask SourceIT for the equivalent |

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SF1008D
Is this a Gigabit switch?
No. All eight ports are 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet. If any endpoint needs more than 100 Mbps, choose the TL-SG1008D or TL-SG108 instead.
Does it supply PoE?
No. It does not supply PoE and is not itself PoE powered.
Can it be adopted into an Omada Controller?
No. It is unmanaged and has no management interface of any kind.
Which hardware version will I receive?
TP-Link lists V9, V10 and V11 for this model. Tell us if you need a specific version to match an existing installation and we will confirm what we hold.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Local Singapore warranty. TP-Link's published replacement warranty policy does not name Fast Ethernet unmanaged switches in any of its tiers, so we do not state a duration here — ask us and we will confirm the term before you order. Every unit sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
