TP-Link 5-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch (TL-SF1005D) - Local Warranty
The TL-SF1005D is the smallest switch in this range: five Fast Ethernet ports in a 104 mm case drawing 1.9 W from a 5 V adapter. Where a handful of 10/100 Mbps devices need to share one network drop — a POS lane, a door controller, a plant-room panel, a bench — it does the job silently and costs almost nothing to run.
Five 10/100 Mbps Ports, Nothing to Set Up
Five Fast Ethernet ports with Auto Negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX, so any patch lead works either way round and no crossover cable is ever needed. There is no web interface, no login and no controller: the uplink goes upstream and the other four ports serve the endpoints. For equipment that will never pass 100 Mbps, that is the complete specification.
1.9 W and a 104 mm Footprint
TP-Link publishes a 1.9 W maximum draw and 6.4 BTU/h of heat, from an external 5.0 V DC / 0.6 A adapter, in a case measuring 104 x 70 x 22 mm. That is small enough to cable-tie inside a control panel, tuck behind a display or sit in a shallow wall box. There is no fan, so it is silent and there is no moving part to fail over the life of the installation.
Flow Control and Back Pressure
802.3x flow control manages congestion on full-duplex links and back pressure does the same on half-duplex legacy connections, which is exactly what mixed-vintage equipment needs. Store-and-forward switching validates each frame before it is forwarded, so a corrupted frame is discarded at the switch instead of being passed to the endpoint. Green Technology reduces draw further on idle ports and short cable runs.
Current V15 Hardware
TP-Link lists V13, V14 and V15 for this model, with V15 current. Where a site is standardised on a particular revision — common in building-services and retail rollouts — tell us and we will confirm which version we hold before shipping, rather than assuming the revisions are interchangeable.

Reproduced exactly as TP-Link publishes it for the V15 hardware; V13 and V14 are also listed. TP-Link publishes a short specification table for this model: no standards and protocols list, switching capacity, packet forwarding rate, MAC address table, buffer size, data-rate row, LED row, physical security lock, EAN or carton pack size appears on the product page, so those rows are omitted rather than carried across from the TL-SF1008D, which is a different product. The certification row lists FCC and RoHS only, with no CE mark stated. TP-Link's replacement warranty policy names Unmanaged PoE and Unmanaged Gigabit/10G switches in its five-year tier; a Fast Ethernet unmanaged switch is not listed in any tier, so no duration is stated here — please ask SourceIT to confirm the term for your order.
Compatibility & Software Support
The TL-SF1005D is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch with no PoE. There is no web interface, command line or controller adoption.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SF1005D
Is this a Gigabit switch?
No. All five ports are 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet. If any endpoint needs more than 100 Mbps, choose the TL-SG1005D or TL-SG105 instead.
How does it differ from the TL-SF1008D?
Port count and size. The TL-SF1005D has five ports in a 104 mm case on a 5 V adapter; the TL-SF1008D has eight ports in a 135 mm case on a 9 V adapter.
Does it supply PoE?
No. It does not supply PoE and is not itself PoE powered.
Can it be adopted into an Omada Controller?
No. It is unmanaged and has no management interface of any kind.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
