PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Pharos 5GHz 150Mbps 23dBi Outdoor CPE (CPE605) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The CPE605 is the economical long-range member of TP-Link's Pharos line: the same 23 dBi high-gain directional antenna and metal reflector as the CPE610, but a single-stream radio rated to 150 Mbps. Where a link carries cameras, telemetry or a modest office connection rather than bulk data, it delivers the reach without paying for throughput that will never be used.
23 dBi Directional Gain in a Narrow 7° Beam
The CPE605 uses a 23 dBi high-gain directional antenna with a dedicated metal reflector, with a beamwidth of 7° azimuth and 10° elevation. That is a tight pattern: it concentrates the transmitted energy along the link path and rejects interference arriving from elsewhere, which is what gives a long hop its stability. Transmit power is adjustable in 1 dBm steps to a maximum of 23 dBm across 5.15-5.85 GHz.
150 Mbps Single Stream, With Narrow Channel Options
Wireless speeds run up to 150 Mbps at 40 MHz, 72.2 Mbps at 20 MHz, 36.1 Mbps at 10 MHz and 18.05 Mbps at 5 MHz. The single-stream radio is the difference from the CPE610's 300 Mbps - and for a camera backhaul or a remote gatehouse link, 150 Mbps is ample. The narrow 10 and 5 MHz channel options trade rate for robustness, which is often the right call on a congested band or a hop at the edge of its range.
Pharos MAXtream TDMA for Multipoint Deployments
With MAXtream enabled the CPE605 switches from standard 802.11a/n contention to TP-Link's proprietary TDMA scheduling, handing each remote site its own airtime slot. TP-Link credits it with improved throughput, capacity and latency - the gain is clearest in a hub-and-spoke layout where several remote units share one central radio and contention-based Wi-Fi would degrade as sites are added.
IP65 Outdoor Build With 15 kV ESD and 6 kV Lightning Protection
The enclosure is outdoor PC stabilized plastic with an IP65 water and dust proof design, and the unit carries 15 kV ESD protection and 6 kV lightning protection. Operating and storage temperature both run -40 to 70 °C with operating humidity to 90% non-condensing. At 350 x 255 x 207 mm it is slightly more compact than the CPE610, and TP-Link's snap-lock parts make assembly simple and convenient on site.
Passive PoE and Free Pharos Control Management
Power comes over the data cable as passive PoE at 16-27 V DC, with the 24 V 0.5 A adapter, pole mounting straps, AC power cord and installation guide supplied in the box. Management is through the unit's own HTTPS web interface or the free Pharos Control application, with SNMP v2c, SSH, system log, Ping Watch Dog and dynamic DDNS - the same toolset as the rest of the Pharos family, so a mixed estate is administered one way.
Ideal For
Singapore estates, worksites, marinas and farms backhauling CCTV, access control or a small remote office over open ground, and wireless ISP subscriber units where cost per site matters more than peak throughput. TP-Link lists the CPE605 as End of Sale, so availability is limited - ask SourceIT about current stock and the current generation. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

TP-Link's adapter specification table gives the supplied injector's output as 24 VDC 0.6 A, while the package-contents line describes it as a 24 V 0.5 A adapter. Both figures are reproduced as published. TP-Link publishes no maximum power consumption figure for this model.
Compatibility & Software Support
The CPE605 is a Pharos-series outdoor CPE. It runs TP-Link's PharOS firmware and is managed through its own web interface or the free Pharos Control application - it is not an Omada device and cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller, so it will not appear in an Omada site view alongside Omada gateways, switches and access points.
| Omada Controller | Not supported — the CPE605 runs PharOS and is not adopted by an Omada Controller |
| Pharos Control | Supported — free centralised discovery and remote management of Pharos devices |
| Standalone Management | Supported — HTTP/HTTPS web interface, SSH, SNMP v2c, system log |
| MAXtream TDMA | Proprietary to Pharos devices — both ends of the link must be Pharos units with MAXtream enabled |
| Wireless Interoperability | TP-Link does not publish a cross-model link compatibility matrix — match the model at both ends unless you have confirmed otherwise |
Tell us the two sites, the distance and what the link has to carry, and we will confirm whether the 150 Mbps CPE605 or the 300 Mbps CPE610 is the right choice before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions — CPE605
How does the CPE605 differ from the CPE610?
Both use a 23 dBi directional antenna with a metal reflector and both support MAXtream TDMA. The CPE605 is a single-stream radio rated to 150 Mbps at 23 dBm; the CPE610 is 2x2 MIMO rated to 300 Mbps at 25 dBm. Choose by the throughput the link has to carry.
Is 150 Mbps enough for CCTV backhaul?
Usually, yes — but it depends on how many cameras, at what resolution and frame rate. Send us the camera list and we will work out the bandwidth before you commit to a model.
Can I manage it from my Omada Controller?
No. The CPE605 runs PharOS and is managed through its own web interface or the free Pharos Control application.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty — Pharos Outdoor CPE sits in TP-Link's five-year replacement tier. Every CPE605 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole build — bridge pair, mounting, surge protection, switching and the Omada network behind it — with local warranty and support.
