TP-Link Omada Hardware Controller for 100 Access Points, PoE Powered
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada Hardware Controller (OC200) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The OC200 is the smallest Omada hardware controller: a 100 mm palm-sized unit that draws power over 802.3af/at PoE or micro USB, managing up to 100 Omada access points, 20 switches and 10 routers with up to 1,000 clients. For most Singapore SMB sites it is the whole management layer, powered from a spare PoE port with no adapter and no rack space.
A Hundred Access Points From a PoE Port
The OC200 manages up to 100 Omada access points, 20 JetStream switches and 10 Omada routers, with up to 1,000 clients. It takes power from an 802.3af/at PoE switch port or a micro USB supply at DC 5V, minimum 1A — so in a typical deployment it hangs off the PoE switch that already feeds the access points, with one cable and no power brick. Two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, a USB 2.0 port and a micro USB port complete the interfaces.
Layer 3 and Multi-Site Management at the Small End
Despite its size the OC200 supports L3 management and multi-site management, so it can adopt devices across routed subnets and hold several separate sites in one controller. For a small MSP or a business with three or four shops, that means one controller in the head office managing every location rather than a controller per site.
Centralised Wireless Control: Band Steering, Load Balance, QoS
The controller drives the wireless features that individual access points cannot coordinate alone: L3 management, multi-SSID, load balance, band steering, airtime fairness, beamforming, rate limiting, wireless scheduling and QoS. Band steering and load balance in particular only make sense controller-side, because they require a view of every access point and client at once rather than a single device's local state.
Captive Portal, Rogue AP Detection and Access Control
Wireless security managed from the OC200 covers captive portal authentication, access control, wireless MAC address filtering, client isolation, SSID-to-VLAN mapping and rogue AP detection. SSID-to-VLAN mapping is the mechanism behind a properly separated guest network, and rogue AP detection flags unauthorised transmitters — both configured once and applied across every adopted access point.
Batch Firmware Upgrades and Scheduled Reboots
AP management includes automatic discovery, unified configuration, reboot scheduling, batch firmware upgrade and LED on/off control. LED control sounds trivial until the access points are in a hotel corridor or a clinic ceiling; batch firmware upgrade is what turns a security patch across twenty access points from an evening's work into one action.
Palm-Sized and Silent
At 100 × 98 × 25 mm the OC200 is smaller than most desk phones and entirely fanless, so it can sit in a cupboard or be cable-tied beside a switch. It operates from 0 to 40 °C at 10–90% humidity and ships with a Quick Installation Guide and an Ethernet cable — no power supply, since PoE is the expected source.
Ideal For
Singapore businesses, schools, hotels and managed-service providers building on Omada, and IT teams that want a controller they can adopt, monitor and update centrally rather than box by box. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The OC200 is part of the Omada ecosystem: gateways, switches and access points are managed together from one controller, under one set of policies, with one view of the network. Cloud and app features listed below require the device to be adopted into an Omada Controller.
| Omada SDN Controller | Supported — adopt and manage centrally from the Omada Software Controller, Hardware Controller or Cloud-Based Controller |
| Omada App | Supported — remote management from iOS and Android |
| Omada Cloud Access | Supported — no licence fee for cloud management |
| Standalone Mode | Supported — the device can also be configured on its own via its web interface |

Frequently Asked Questions — OC200
Do I need an Omada Controller if I have this unit?
The OC200 is the controller. It is the appliance that adopts and manages your Omada access points, switches and gateways, so you do not run the Omada Software Controller on a server or pay for cloud management alongside it.
Does the OC200 come with a power supply?
No. TP-Link supplies the OC200 with a Quick Installation Guide and an Ethernet cable only. It is designed to be powered from an 802.3af/at PoE switch port; alternatively it accepts a micro USB supply at DC 5V, minimum 1A, which you would source separately.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty. Every OC200 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Is stock held locally?
SourceIT holds fast-moving Omada lines in Singapore. Anything not in local stock is brought in on indent — ask us for the current lead time before committing to a project date.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
