PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link Omada Wireless Bridge 5 GHz AC867 Long-Range Indoor/Outdoor Access Point (EAP215-Bridge KIT) - 5 Years Local Warranty

The EAP215-Bridge KIT is a pre-paired pair of 5 GHz point-to-point bridges built to carry a network link across ground you cannot trench. Each unit pairs 11 dBi dual-polarised directional antennas with an IP65 enclosure rated from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius, reaches up to 5,000 m, and runs three Gigabit Ethernet ports. Both ends adopt into the same Omada controller as the rest of the site.

A 5 km 5 GHz Link Between Two Buildings

Omada publishes a coverage figure of 5,000 m (16,400 ft) for the kit, which places it firmly in campus and estate territory rather than across-the-carpark territory: a second warehouse, a guardhouse, a yard office, a site cabin or a neighbouring block on the same compound. The pair is supplied as a kit, so there is no second purchase to specify and no mismatch between the two ends. Because the link is wireless, commissioning does not wait on civil works, road-opening permits or a fibre contractor's schedule.

11 dBi Directional MIMO Antennas With a 35-Degree Beam

Each unit carries internal 2x2 dual-polarised directional MIMO antennas with 11.0 dBi of gain and a 35-degree beamwidth in both the horizontal and vertical planes. A narrow beam is what makes the distance work: energy is concentrated along the intended path instead of being sprayed across the site, which raises the received signal at the far end and reduces the noise the link picks up from unrelated 5 GHz traffic nearby. The trade-off is that alignment matters, so both ends need line of sight and a firm mount.

867 Mbps on 802.11ac With MU-MIMO and Mesh

The radio runs 802.11a/b/g/n/ac at 5 GHz with a signal rate of up to 867 Mbps and 5 GHz 2x2 MU-MIMO downlink. Beyond the point-to-point role the firmware carries the standard Omada wireless feature set - Mesh, Load Balance, Beamforming, Airtime Fairness, up to 8 SSIDs, wireless statistics, wireless and reboot schedules, RADIUS accounting and MAC authentication - so a unit can also serve clients where that is useful rather than acting purely as a transport link.

IP65 Enclosure Built for Singapore Weather

The enclosure is rated IP65 and the unit operates from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius at 10 to 90 percent non-condensing humidity, which covers a rooftop, a pole or an external wall through a full tropical year. Pole-mounting accessories are included in the box. Power is 12 V DC or 24 V passive PoE with the passive PoE adapter supplied, so a single Ethernet run can carry both data and power out to the mast and only one cable has to be weatherproofed at the penetration.

Managed From the Same Omada Controller as the Rest of the Site

Both ends are adopted into an Omada Cloud-Based Controller, Omada Software Controller or an OC300 or OC200 hardware controller, so the bridge appears alongside the gateways, switches and access points already on site instead of being a separate island with its own login. Cloud access and the Omada app both require a controller. Standalone management is available over the web interface and SSH, with SNMP v1/v2c/v3, backup and restore, NTP, firmware update over the web and LED on/off control.

Security and Segmentation on the Link Itself

The bridge supports WPA-Personal and WPA-Enterprise, WPA2-Personal and WPA2-Enterprise, VLAN, access control, rogue AP detection, captive portal authentication and a MAC filter of up to 4,000 entries. That matters on an inter-building link, because traffic crossing open ground should be encrypted and the remote building's VLANs should stay separated when they arrive at the core rather than being flattened into one broadcast domain.

Ideal For

Singapore sites linking a second building, warehouse, guardhouse or site office back to the main network where fibre is impractical, and Omada-standardised IT teams that want the bridge managed from the same controller as everything else. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — EAP215-Bridge KIT

How far will the link actually reach?

Omada publishes a coverage figure of 5,000 m (16,400 ft). That is a clear line-of-sight figure with both ends properly aligned; obstructions, mounting height and local 5 GHz interference all reduce it, so survey the path before committing to a distance.

Do I need to buy two units?

No. The EAP215-Bridge KIT is supplied as a kit containing both ends, pre-paired.

Does it need an Omada Controller?

No. The units can be managed standalone through the web interface or SSH. Adopting them into an Omada Cloud-Based, Software or Hardware Controller is what enables central configuration, the Omada app and cloud access across every Omada device on site.

What is the difference between this and the EAP115-Bridge KIT?

Both share the same 224 x 79 x 60 mm IP65 chassis and 11 dBi directional antennas. The EAP215-Bridge KIT is 802.11ac at up to 867 Mbps with three Gigabit Ethernet ports; the EAP115-Bridge KIT is 802.11n at up to 300 Mbps with three 10/100 Mbps ports and a published distance of 5 km.

What warranty does SourceIT provide?

Five years local Singapore warranty. Every EAP215-Bridge KIT sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.

Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?

Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
