The POE370S is Omada's 10G PoE++ injector, an accessory for adding power over an existing Ethernet run where no switch port can supply it. Two multi-gig RJ45 ports pass data at up to 10 Gbps while injecting up to 60 W of IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 power, so a single cable can feed a high-draw PTZ camera, access point or LED fixture sited away from any mains outlet.

The POE370S fully complies with IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt, supplying a maximum of 60 W as a Type 3 PoE++ source. That covers the full ladder of standard powered devices, from a 15.4 W 802.3af access point up to the 60 W class of PTZ dome cameras, multi-radio Wi-Fi 7 APs and PoE lighting. Because the negotiation is standards-based, the injector automatically determines and supplies exactly the power the connected device asks for, rather than pushing a fixed voltage at whatever is plugged in.

Multi-Gig Data Path Up To 10 Gbps, Not Just Gigabit

Both RJ45 ports run at 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps or 10 Gbps, backed by compliance with 802.3i, 802.3u, 802.3ab, 802.3bz and 802.3an. This matters because many PoE injectors are Gigabit-only and become the bottleneck the moment they are inserted into a modern link. Here the injector can sit in front of a Wi-Fi 7 access point or a multi-gig uplink without capping throughput, so the same unit serves both the power and the bandwidth requirement of current high-end powered devices.

Cable Grade Determines Your Usable Distance

Reach depends on the speed you are running. At 10Base-T and 100Base-TX, Cat5 or better carries up to 100 m; 1000Base-T, 2.5GBase-T and 5GBase-T all reach 100 m over Cat5e or better. Pushing the full 10GBase-T rate shortens that to 50 m on Cat6, or 90 m on Cat6a shielded cable. Planning against these figures before pulling cable avoids the common mistake of specifying a 10G camera or AP at the end of a 90 m Cat6 run that will only negotiate a lower rate.

There is no configuration, no web interface and no DIP switches - connect the data input, connect the powered device, apply mains, and PWR and PoE LEDs confirm the link and that power is being delivered. The power supply is built into the 154.7 x 70 x 42 mm metal housing rather than trailing a separate brick, which keeps the install tidy in a ceiling void or cabinet, and the unit can be sat on a desk or wall mounted. Operating range is -5 to 45 degrees Celsius; the unit carries CE and FCC certification.
