PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link JetStream 8-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 4-Port PoE+ (TL-SG2008P) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SG2008P is the JetStream-generation eight-port smart switch with PoE+ on its first four ports and a 62 W budget. Compact, fanless and managed either standalone or through an Omada Controller, it suits a small office or a single room that needs a couple of powered devices alongside ordinary Gigabit ports.
Four PoE+ Ports and Four Standard Gigabit Ports
Ports 1 to 4 are 802.3af/at PoE+ and share a 62 W budget; ports 5 to 8 are ordinary Gigabit. That is the right shape for a small site - one or two access points and an IP phone or a camera drawing power, with a router uplink, a NAS and a desktop on the remaining ports. All eight run at 10/100/1000 Mbps, so nothing has to be patched in a particular order for links to come up correctly.
62 W Budget From a Silent Desktop Chassis
Power comes from an external 53.5 VDC/1.31 A adapter and the unit is fanless, so it is silent and has no moving part to fail. At 209 x 126 x 26 mm it takes very little desk or shelf space. Maximum consumption on hardware version 3 is 77.3 W with the full 62 W of powered devices attached, which is a modest load for a small-office circuit.
16 Gbps Backplane With an 8K MAC Table
A 16 Gbps backplane covers all eight ports running full duplex at once, so the fabric itself is never the constraint. The 8K MAC address table is generous for an eight-port switch and copes with a multi-VLAN small network or a wireless segment behind it, while the 4.1 Mbit packet buffer and 9 KB jumbo frame support handle the bursty transfers that NAS and backup workloads produce.
Managed Standalone or Through an Omada Controller
The TL-SG2008P can be configured on its own through its web interface, or adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller so that it is configured, monitored and firmware-updated alongside the rest of the network. PoE ports can be scheduled and power-cycled from the controller, which is useful when an access point or camera needs a hard reset without a site visit.
Ideal For
Singapore small offices, shops, clinics and home offices that need a handful of managed Gigabit ports with PoE for one or two access points or cameras, and sites standardising on Omada where the smaller 62 W budget is sufficient. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SG2008P
Is there a newer version of this switch?
Yes. TP-Link lists the SG2008P as the newer version of the TL-SG2008P. Both remain in the catalogue; ask SourceIT which generation is currently in stock and we will advise on the right one for your project.
Which ports supply PoE?
Ports 1 to 4 only, sharing a 62 W budget. Ports 5 to 8 are standard Gigabit data ports with no power.
Does it need an Omada Controller?
No. It runs standalone through its own web interface. Adopting it into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller is what unlocks central configuration, monitoring, firmware management and cloud/app access across every Omada device on site.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, with a GST invoice on every unit. Send us your bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics.
