TP-Link Omada JetStream 8-Port 10GE SFP+ L2+ Managed Switch
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link JetStream 8-Port 10GE SFP+ L2+ Managed Switch (TL-SX3008F) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SX3008F is a compact 10-Gigabit aggregation switch: eight 10GE SFP+ slots on a 160 Gbps fabric, in a fanless 1U chassis that draws 15.46 W. It is the switch that sits between a set of access switches and the core, giving each of them a 10G fibre uplink, and it is silent enough to live outside a dedicated comms room.
Eight 10G SFP+ Slots for Uplink Aggregation
All eight ports are 10GE SFP+, which makes the role clear: this is an aggregation layer, not an access switch. Each access switch, server or storage array terminates on its own 10G fibre or DAC, and the TL-SX3008F concentrates them. Because every port is an optics cage rather than copper, you choose the medium per link - short DAC inside the rack, multimode between floors, single-mode across a campus - without buying a different switch for each distance.
160 Gbps Non-Blocking Fabric at 119.04 Mpps
Switching capacity is 160 Gbps, which is exactly eight 10G ports running full duplex at once, so the fabric never oversubscribes no matter how the traffic falls. The 119.04 Mpps packet forwarding rate sustains line rate down to minimum frame sizes, a 32 K MAC address table copes with a large flat layer-2 domain behind the aggregation point, and 16 Mbit of packet buffer plus 9 KB jumbo frames absorb the bursty elephant flows that backup windows and storage replication produce.
Fanless, Silent, 15.46 W in 1U
The TL-SX3008F is fanless. For a 10G aggregation switch that is unusual and genuinely useful: it can be racked in an office comms cupboard, a studio, a clinic or a small server cabinet without adding fan noise, and there is no fan to fail as the unit ages. Maximum power consumption is 15.46 W at 220 V with maximum heat dissipation of 52.75 BTU/hr, so it adds almost nothing to the cooling load of a small rack. The chassis is a standard 440 x 180 x 44 mm rack-mountable 1U.
Full L2+ Feature Set — VLANs, ACLs, Security and IPv6
Software covers 4K VLAN groups with 802.1Q tagging, QinQ and voice VLAN; eight-queue QoS with 802.1p and DSCP priority, SP/WRR/SP+WRR scheduling and port or flow-based rate limiting; link aggregation with static and 802.3ad LACP; STP, RSTP and MSTP with loopback detection; IGMP snooping v1/v2/v3, MLD snooping and MVR with 256 multicast filtering profiles; time-based MAC, IP and IPv6 ACLs; and security including IP-MAC-Port binding, DoS defend, port security, storm control, 802.1X, HTTPS and SSH. IPv6 is dual-stack with DHCPv6 and IPv6 ACLs.
Managed Centrally With the Rest of Your Omada Network
The switch is adopted into the Omada Cloud-Based Controller, the Omada Software Controller or an OC300 or OC200 hardware controller, so it appears in the same view as the gateways, switches and access points already on site. The Omada app and cloud access both require one of those controllers, and Zero-Touch Provisioning requires the Cloud-Based Controller specifically. Standalone management is available through the web GUI, CLI over console or telnet, and SNMP v1/v2c/v3 with RMON, plus LLDP/LLDP-MED, dual image and configuration, cable diagnostics and password recovery.
Ideal For
Singapore offices, studios, clinics and small data rooms that need a quiet 10G aggregation point above their access switches, and Omada-standardised IT teams that want that switch managed from the same controller as everything else. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SX3008F
Does the TL-SX3008F have any copper ports?
No. All eight data ports are 10GE SFP+ slots. Copper connections require an SFP+ transceiver that supports RJ45, or an access switch with copper ports uplinked to this one over fibre or DAC.
Is it really fanless?
Yes. Omada lists the fan quantity as fanless, with a maximum power consumption of 15.46 W and 52.75 BTU/hr of heat dissipation at 220 V, so it can be installed where fan noise would be a problem.
Does it need an Omada Controller?
No. It runs standalone through its web GUI, CLI or SNMP. Adopting it into an Omada Cloud-Based, Software or Hardware Controller is what enables central configuration, the Omada app, cloud access and Zero-Touch Provisioning across every Omada device on site.
Are transceivers included?
No. SFP+ optics and DAC cables are ordered separately — tell SourceIT the distances and fibre type and we will specify them with the switch.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty. Every TL-SX3008F sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
