TP-Link Omada Hardware Controller for 1,000 Access Points with 10G SFP+ Ports
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada Hardware Controller (OC400) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The OC400 is the largest Omada hardware controller: a quad-core 1U appliance with 8 GB of DDR4, 32 GB of eMMC storage, two 10G SFP+ ports and two internal fixed power supplies, managing up to 1,000 access points, 200 switches, 100 routers and 30,000 clients. It is the multi-tenant controller — the one an MSP or a campus deploys, rather than a single office.
Thirty Thousand Clients Across a Thousand Access Points
The OC400 manages up to 1,000 Omada access points, 200 Omada switches and 100 Omada routers, with up to 30,000 concurrent clients. That is double the AP count and twice the client capacity of the OC300, and it is the number that decides whether a campus, hospital, hotel group or managed-service portfolio can run from a single appliance instead of several. Multi-site management keeps each location separate inside one controller.
Multi-Tenant Management for MSPs
Multi-tenant support, account management and a customisable UI are the features that separate the OC400 from the rest of the range. A Singapore managed-service provider can host multiple customers on one controller, give each customer's staff scoped accounts, and present a branded interface — without deploying and patching a controller per client. Migration tools move an existing site's configuration onto the appliance.
Two 10G SFP+ Ports and Four Gigabit Interfaces
The OC400 carries 2× 10G SFP+ ports, 4× GE RJ45 ports, 2× USB 3.0 ports and a GE console port. The 10G uplinks matter at this scale: a controller handling thirty thousand clients is moving a continuous stream of telemetry, configuration and log data, and the console port means the appliance can be recovered over serial if a management VLAN change makes it unreachable.
Redundant Internal Power Supplies
Two internal fixed power supplies mean a single PSU failure does not take down management for every site on the controller. The unit runs on 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz with one fan, and measures 440 × 180 × 44 mm for a standard 1U rack position. For an appliance that is the single point of configuration across an estate, that redundancy is the reason to choose it over a software controller on an unprotected server.
Backup, Auto-Backup and Batch Operations
Management features cover automatic device discovery, batch configuration, batch firmware upgrading, online upgrade, backup and restore with auto-backup, reboot, PoE and WLAN schedules, DDNS, SNMP and SSH. Batch operations are what make a thousand-AP estate maintainable — a firmware campaign runs as one action across a site rather than device by device.
Dashboards, Topology and Insights
Monitoring includes a custom dashboard, statistics, network topology, a network map, device and client lists, Insights and logs. For an operations team that is the daily working surface: which access point a complaining client is attached to, which switch port a device sits behind, and what changed before the fault — answered from one screen covering gateways, switches and access points together.
Ideal For
Singapore businesses, schools, hotels and managed-service providers building on Omada, and IT teams that want a controller they can adopt, monitor and update centrally rather than box by box. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The OC400 is part of the Omada ecosystem: gateways, switches and access points are managed together from one controller, under one set of policies, with one view of the network. Cloud and app features listed below require the device to be adopted into an Omada Controller.
| Omada SDN Controller | Supported — adopt and manage centrally from the Omada Software Controller, Hardware Controller or Cloud-Based Controller |
| Omada App | Supported — remote management from iOS and Android |
| Omada Cloud Access | Supported — no licence fee for cloud management |
| Standalone Mode | Supported — the device can also be configured on its own via its web interface |

Frequently Asked Questions — OC400
Do I need an Omada Controller if I have this unit?
The OC400 is the controller. It is the appliance that adopts and manages your Omada access points, switches and gateways, so you do not run the Omada Software Controller on a server or pay for cloud management alongside it.
How does the OC400 differ from the OC300 and OC200?
Capacity and redundancy. The OC400 manages up to 1,000 access points, 200 switches and 100 routers with 30,000 clients, adds multi-tenant and account management, two 10G SFP+ uplinks and dual internal power supplies. The OC300 handles up to 500 devices and 15,000 clients on Gigabit ports; the OC200 up to 100 access points, 20 switches and 10 routers with 1,000 clients, and is PoE powered.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty. Every OC400 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Is stock held locally?
SourceIT holds fast-moving Omada lines in Singapore. Anything not in local stock is brought in on indent — ask us for the current lead time before committing to a project date.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
