TP-Link Omada Fusion 2.5G PoE Gateway (Fusion 2.5G PoE) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The Omada Fusion 2.5G PoE is a gateway with the Omada controller built in, nine 2.5G RJ45 ports, eight PoE+ ports sharing a 110W budget and a 3.69-inch colour touchscreen. Omada sums it up as "Fast Deployment. Cloud Management. Subscription-Free."
Gateway and Controller in One, License-Free
Gateway and controller functions sit in a single device, so the unit that routes the site also adopts and manages the Omada devices behind it. The built-in controller needs no device licence and gives centralised multi-site visibility with remote cloud control through web or app. Omada recommends it for up to 30 managed Omada devices and up to 300 connected clients.
Nine 2.5G Ports with Up to Eight WANs
One 2.5G RJ45 WAN port and eight 2.5G RJ45 LAN/WAN ports allow up to eight simultaneous WAN links with load balancing and automatic failover, so several internet services can be combined at one site.
Eight PoE+ Ports with a 110W Total Budget
Eight of the ports are PoE+, sharing a 110W total budget, so access points, cameras or other PoE devices can be powered straight from the gateway, simplifying cabling and deployment on small sites.
Quad-Core CPU and 2.1 Gbps-Class IPS/IDS
A quad-core CPU provides the processing for stable gateway and controller performance. Omada rates IPS throughput at 2,183 Mbps and site-to-site VPN at 1,023 Mbps (IPsec), so intrusion prevention can stay on while performance is maintained.
Bluetooth Setup, Touchscreen Troubleshooting and LightLink VPN
App-guided onboarding via Bluetooth and one-tap bulk device adoption speed up deployment. The 3.69-inch touchscreen enables quick troubleshooting with direct on-device monitoring, reducing on-site visits. Omada LightLink VPN gives secure remote access in one click, with Smart Split Tunneling sending only essential traffic through the VPN. App-based ACL, one-click Auto QoS and full mesh SD-WAN (Omada states up to 20 sites) complete the feature set.

Compatibility & Software Support
The Fusion 2.5G PoE runs the Omada Network Application on board, so it acts as the site's controller as well as its gateway. Omada access points, switches and other Omada devices behind it are discovered and adopted from the built-in controller and managed under one set of policies.

Do I need a separate Omada controller or licence?
No. The controller is built in and Omada states there is no device licence for cloud management. It is recommended for up to 30 managed Omada devices and 300 connected clients.
