PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada BE5000 5-Stream Ceiling Mount Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Access Point (EAP727) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The EAP727 is Omada's BE5000 dual-band Wi-Fi 7 ceiling access point with a five-stream radio design — three 5 GHz streams plus two on 2.4 GHz. TP-Link rates it for 510+ concurrent clients and 185 m² (2,000 ft²) of coverage, double the client rating of 4-stream BE5000 models, on a single 2.5G 802.3at PoE+ cable drawing 17.5 W.
5-Stream Wi-Fi 7: 4,324 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz
The extra 5 GHz stream is what sets the EAP727 apart in the BE5000 range. Combined with 160 MHz channels on 5 GHz, it gives more room to serve many clients at once rather than raising the headline rate. For meeting rooms, classrooms and hotel floors where dozens of laptops and phones share one AP, the higher concurrent-client rating is the practical number to plan around.
Low Latency with MLO, Multi-RUs and 4K-QAM
Multi-Link Operation lets Wi-Fi 7 clients use the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz links together and move off a congested one; Multi-RUs let the AP allocate more than one resource unit to a client to cut interference; and 4K-QAM carries 12 bits per symbol for clients with a strong signal. TP-Link positions all three as reducing latency and interference in busy environments.
2.5G PoE+ Port at 17.5 W
One 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port provides both the multi-gig uplink and 802.3at PoE+ power, with a maximum draw of 17.5 W on PoE (15.8 W on 12V/1.5A DC). That keeps PoE budgets manageable on standard PoE+ switches when a floor has many APs. TP-Link lists an ErP networked-standby power of 6 W.
Flexible Mounting Including T-Bar
The 160 × 160 × 36.7 mm, 0.47 kg unit ships with kits for ceiling, wall, junction box or T-bar mounting, so it fits suspended office ceilings as well as solid surfaces. With Omada SDN it supports one-click adoption, so a site can be staged centrally before installers arrive.
Centralised Cloud Management, PPSK, Multiple Portals and Mesh
Adopted into Omada Central (cloud), an Omada hardware controller or the software controller, the EAP727 supports PPSK, multiple captive portals, Omada Mesh and seamless roaming, alongside 16 SSIDs (8 per band), WPA3-Personal/Enterprise, VLANs and rogue AP detection. SSH, SNMP v1/v2c/v3 and remote syslog are available for integration with existing monitoring.
Ideal For
Singapore offices, schools, hotels and co-working spaces that need dual-band Wi-Fi 7 for high client counts on 2.5G PoE+ switching, and MSPs standardising on Omada for central management. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — EAP727
Does the EAP727 need an Omada Controller?
No. It can be managed standalone through its web interface. Adopting it into Omada Central, a hardware controller or the software controller unlocks central configuration, monitoring, firmware management, Mesh, captive portals and cloud/app access.
How does it differ from 4-stream BE5000 models such as the EAP723?
The EAP727 adds a third 5 GHz stream (3× 6 dBi 5 GHz antennas), and TP-Link rates it for 510+ concurrent clients and 185 m² against 250+ clients and 140 m² on the 4-stream models.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
