PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link Omada BE5000 4-Stream Ceiling Mount Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Access Point with Power Adapter Included (EAP720) - 5 Years Local Warranty

The EAP720 is Omada's BE5000 4-stream dual-band Wi-Fi 7 ceiling access point. It brings Multi-Link Operation, Multi-RUs and 4K-QAM to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands on a single 2.5G port, and TP-Link includes a power adapter in the box, so it can be powered by 802.3at PoE+ or from a local 12V DC supply.

4-Stream Wi-Fi 7 up to 5.0 Gbps

The EAP720 delivers 4324 Mbps on 5 GHz plus 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. As a dual-band design it skips the 6 GHz radio of tri-band models and concentrates capacity where most current laptops and phones already connect. TP-Link lists 240 MHz bandwidth on the 5 GHz band, alongside 160 MHz, for higher peak throughput where regulations permit.

Low Latency with MLO, Multi-RUs and 4K-QAM

Multi-Link Operation lets a Wi-Fi 7 client hold the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz links together and shift traffic away from a congested one. Multi-RUs let the AP assign more than one resource unit to a client for more efficient spectrum use, and 4K-QAM carries 12 bits per symbol — about 20% more data than Wi-Fi 6's 1024-QAM — for clients with a strong signal.

2.5G Port with 802.3at PoE or DC Power

One 2.5G Ethernet port gives a multi-gig uplink that a busy 5 GHz radio will not saturate on Gigabit. Maximum draw is 17.83 W on PoE or 13.99 W on 12V/1.5A DC, within a standard PoE+ switch port's budget. The 160 × 160 × 36.7 mm unit includes ceiling, wall and junction-box mounting kits.

250+ Clients, Mesh and Seamless Roaming

Omada rates the EAP720 for 250+ concurrent clients over about 140 m² (1500 ft²) — mainstream office, classroom and hospitality density. With an Omada controller, Omada Mesh links APs wirelessly where cabling is impractical and seamless roaming hands clients between APs mid-session.

16 SSIDs, WPA3 and Central Omada SDN Management

Up to 16 SSIDs (8 per band), captive portal authentication, a 4,000-entry MAC filter, client isolation, VLANs, rogue AP detection and WPA3-Personal/Enterprise cover guest and corporate segmentation. The EAP720 is managed from Omada Central (cloud), an Omada hardware controller or the software controller alongside Omada gateways and switches.

Ideal For

Singapore offices, classrooms, clinics and retail sites upgrading to dual-band Wi-Fi 7 on 2.5G switching, including locations where a PoE switch port is not available and the included DC adapter is useful. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.
