The EAP615-Wall is the flattest unit in the Omada wall-plate range at just 20 mm deep, yet it still carries AX1800 Wi-Fi 6, three Gigabit downlink ports with PoE out on one of them, and a physical security lock. For hotel and dormitory rooms where the faceplate must not protrude and the hardware must not walk, that combination is the point.

20 mm Deep, With a Physical Security Lock

At 143 x 86 x 20 mm the EAP615-Wall sits barely proud of the wall — roughly half the depth of the AX3000 wall-plate models. In a corridor, a guest room or a classroom that is the difference between a tidy installation and something people knock with a suitcase. It is also the only unit in this group with a physical security lock, which matters in public-access spaces where the access point is within arm's reach of everyone using it.

Three Gigabit Downlink Ports, One With PoE Out

A single Gigabit uplink feeds the unit; three Gigabit downlink ports come out of the faceplate, and one of them supplies PoE out. That lets an IP phone, a small camera or a thin client in the same room draw its power from the access point rather than from an adapter and socket. Together with the wireless service, one cable drop per room covers everything — which is usually the constraint that decides a retrofit.

AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Sized for a Single Room

The radios deliver 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz through two dual-band antennas rated 2x 3 dBi and 2x 4 dBi. Coverage is rated at 50 m² (600 ft²) with 120+ concurrent clients. That is a deliberately compact cell: strong signal close to the user, low transmit power, and much less co-channel interference between adjacent rooms than a corridor-mounted AP pushing through walls would produce. MU-MIMO, beamforming and OFDMA keep multiple devices in the room served efficiently.

802.3af or 802.3at PoE, Around 10 W

The unit accepts either 802.3af or 802.3at PoE and draws a maximum of 10 W on EU models and 11.5 W on US models with PoE out disabled — add the downstream device's draw if the PoE-out port is used. An existing 802.3af switch is enough for the access point itself, which keeps refurbishment costs down where the switching is already in place.

WPA3, Captive Portal and Omada Central Management

Security includes WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise, 802.1X, captive portal authentication for guest onboarding, MAC filtering, VLAN separation, access control and rogue AP detection, with up to 16 SSIDs available. Adopted into an Omada Controller — Cloud-Based, OC300, OC200 or Software — the whole estate is configured, monitored and firmware-updated from one console, with L3 and multi-site management and Zero-Touch Provisioning for remote properties.
