PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada Access 6-Port Gigabit Switch with 4-Port PoE+ (SG2206MP) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The SG2206MP is the smallest switch in Omada's Access managed range: five Gigabit RJ45 ports, four of them 802.3at/af PoE+, plus a Gigabit SFP slot for a fibre uplink, in a fanless 158 mm desktop or wall-mount chassis. It brings full L2+ managed features — static routing, ACLs, 802.1X and 4K VLANs — to a closet, reception desk or small branch where a 24-port rack switch would be overkill.
4 PoE+ Ports and a 63 W Budget for APs, Cameras and Phones
Each of the four PoE+ ports delivers up to 30 W, against a total PoE budget of 63 W*, and is compatible with both 802.3af/at PoE and non-PoE devices. That is enough to power a mix of ceiling access points, IP cameras and IP phones from one compact switch, with Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE keeping powered devices running through a switch reboot.
Gigabit SFP Slot for a Fibre Uplink
Alongside the five Gigabit RJ45 ports, a Gigabit SFP slot lets the SG2206MP link back to a core or aggregation switch over fibre — useful where the switch sits further from the comms room than copper allows. Switching capacity is 12 Gbps with an 8.93 Mpps forwarding rate, an 8K MAC address table and 9 KB jumbo frames.
L2+ Features Normally Found on Larger Switches
Despite its size, the SG2206MP runs Omada's L2+ feature set: 16 IPv4/IPv6 IP interfaces, 32 IPv4/IPv6 static routes, DHCP server and relay, link aggregation, spanning tree, loopback detection, DLDP and LLDP/LLDP-MED. It supports up to 4K VLAN groups with MAC, protocol and voice VLAN, and 8 priority queues with 802.1p CoS/DSCP for voice and video traffic.
Access Security: 802.1X, ACLs and DHCP Snooping
Up to 230 ACL entries with time-range, MAC, IP and IPv6 rules, plus IP-MAC-Port binding, AAA, port- or MAC-based 802.1X, DHCP and DHCPv6 snooping, ARP inspection, DoS defence, port security (64 MAC per port), port isolation and HTTPS/SSH encryption give an edge switch the controls IT teams expect at the access layer.
Centralised Cloud Management with Omada SDN
Adopted into an Omada Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller, the SG2206MP is configured and monitored alongside Omada gateways and access points, with automatic device discovery, batch configuration, batch firmware upgrading, intelligent network monitoring, abnormal event warnings and reboot scheduling. Zero-Touch Provisioning is available with Omada Central. It also supports web GUI, CLI, SNMPv1/v2c/v3 and RMON for standalone management.
Fanless and Silent for Desks and Small Rooms
The fanless design keeps the SG2206MP silent, so it can sit on a desk, in a meeting room or on a wall without adding noise, and a physical security lock slot is provided.
Ideal For
Small offices, retail outlets, clinics, meeting rooms and branch sites that need a handful of PoE+ ports for access points, IP cameras or phones with full managed-switch controls, and Omada sites that want every switch in one controller. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The SG2206MP is part of the Omada ecosystem: gateways, switches and access points are managed together from one controller, under one set of policies, with one view of the network. Cloud and app features listed below require the device to be adopted into an Omada Controller.
| Omada SDN Controller | Supported — adopt and manage centrally from the Omada Software Controller, Hardware Controller or Cloud-Based Controller |
| Omada App | Supported — requires the use of an Omada Hardware, Cloud-Based or Software Controller |
| Omada Cloud Access | Supported — requires the use of an Omada Hardware, Cloud-Based or Software Controller |
| Zero-Touch Provisioning | Supported — requires the Omada Cloud-Based Controller (Omada Cloud Standard or Omada Cloud Essentials) |
| Standalone Mode | Supported — the switch can also be managed on its own via web GUI, CLI and SNMP |

Frequently Asked Questions — SG2206MP
Does the SG2206MP need an Omada Controller?
No. The SG2206MP can be configured on its own through its web-based GUI. Adopting it into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller is what unlocks the Omada App, cloud access, automatic device discovery, batch configuration and batch firmware upgrades across every Omada device on site; Zero-Touch Provisioning additionally needs the Omada Cloud-Based Controller.
