PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link 9-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch with 8-Port PoE+ (TL-SF1009P) - 5 Years Local Warranty

The TL-SF1009P gives eight 802.3at PoE+ ports and a 65 W budget in a 171 mm fanless desktop box, with a ninth Fast Ethernet port for uplink. Up to 30 W is available on any single port, and Extend mode reaches 250 m — enough to run a small camera cluster from a cupboard with no rack, no injectors and nothing to configure.

Eight PoE+ Ports, 30 W Available on Any One of Them

Ports 1 to 8 are IEEE 802.3af/at compliant with up to 30 W available per port against a 65 W system budget. That per-port headroom is what separates this from a basic 802.3af switch: a single PTZ dome, a video door station or a tri-band access point can draw its full 802.3at allocation on one port while the remaining ports carry lighter devices. Power is negotiated automatically, and a non-PoE device on the same port simply receives data.

Extend Mode Reaches 250 m on a Single Cable Run

Extend mode carries both power and data up to 250 m on one run, two and a half times the standard Ethernet limit. On a Singapore site that means a camera at the end of a car park deck, a gate barrier, or a reader at a service entrance can be reached without a mid-span cabinet or a fibre pair. Throughput drops in Extend mode, which is the correct trade for a camera, a door controller or a sensor rather than a workstation.

Priority and Isolation Modes Without a Configuration Screen

Priority mode reserves forwarding capacity for the ports carrying the traffic that matters when the switch is congested. Isolation mode confines each access port to the uplink, so devices cannot see one another and a compromised camera has no lateral path. Both are hardware selections rather than settings in a web interface, which means the behaviour survives a power cut, a firmware reset and a change of installer.

1.8 Gbps Fabric, 2K MAC Table, Store-and-Forward

All nine ports are 10/100 Mbps with auto negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX, running on a 1.8 Gbps non-blocking fabric at a 1.3392 Mpps forwarding rate — every port at full duplex simultaneously, with no oversubscription. A 2K MAC address table is sized for a small edge segment, 2 KB jumbo frame support handles slightly oversized payloads, and switching is store-and-forward with flow control and backpressure for congestion management.

Silent Fanless Build in a 171 mm Chassis

The 171 × 98 × 27 mm housing is fanless and therefore completely silent, suitable for a reception desk, a retail back room or a clinic rather than only a comms cupboard. Power comes from an external 53.5 VDC / 1.31 A adapter, keeping the mains side outside the enclosure. Draw is 3.6 W with nothing powered and 77.08 W with a full 65 W of powered devices attached, across a rated 0-40 °C operating range.

Ideal For

Singapore SMEs, retail units, clinics and small offices running a small cluster of IP cameras, access points or handsets where there is no rack, and integrators who need a single long-reach camera run without extra hardware. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support

The TL-SF1009P is an unmanaged switch. Extend, Priority and Isolation modes are hardware selections on the unit; there is no web interface, no CLI and no SNMP agent, and the switch cannot be adopted into an Omada SDN Controller or managed from the Omada app. Where VLANs, 802.1X or central monitoring are required, SourceIT can quote a JetStream smart or Omada-managed switch.

Management Unmanaged — hardware mode selections only
Omada SDN Controller Not supported on this model
Powered Devices Any IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at compliant PD, up to 30 W on a single port
Uplink Port 9, 10/100 Mbps RJ45, data only
Long-Reach Cabling Extend mode supports up to 250 m on a single run at reduced throughput

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SF1009P

Is the ninth port an uplink, and is it Gigabit?

Port 9 is the non-PoE uplink and it is 10/100 Mbps, like the rest. Eight Fast Ethernet access ports cannot generate more than 800 Mbps combined, but if you need a Gigabit uplink, look at the TL-SL1311P or TL-SL1311MP, which add two Gigabit RJ45 ports and a Gigabit SFP slot.

Can one port really supply 30 W?

Yes — up to 30 W is available on a single port under 802.3at, within the 65 W system total. So one high-draw device plus several light ones works; eight high-draw devices does not. Send SourceIT the device list and we will check the numbers.

Can I create VLANs on this switch?

No — it is unmanaged. Isolation mode gives hardware port-to-port separation, which covers many camera deployments, but VLAN tagging needs a smart or managed switch. Ask SourceIT for the equivalent JetStream or Omada model.

What warranty does SourceIT provide?

Five years local Singapore warranty, under TP-Link's Omada replacement warranty policy. Every unit sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.

Is stock held locally?

SourceIT holds fast-moving Omada lines in Singapore. Anything not in local stock is brought in on indent — ask us for the current lead time before committing to a project date.
