TP-Link JetStream 10-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 8-Port PoE+ (TL-SG2210P) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SG2210P is the JetStream-generation compact PoE+ switch: eight Gigabit PoE+ ports on a 61 W budget plus two Gigabit SFP slots, in a fanless 209 mm desktop chassis. It gives a small site eight powered ports and a fibre uplink without a rack, and it can be run standalone or adopted into an Omada Controller.
Eight PoE+ Ports and Two SFP Slots in a Desktop Chassis
Eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports all support 802.3af/at PoE+, and two Gigabit SFP slots sit alongside them for fibre uplink. Getting eight powered ports and fibre backhaul in a 209 x 126 x 26 mm desktop unit is the appeal of this model - a small office, a clinic or a shop can serve every access point and phone from one box on a shelf rather than commissioning a rack.
61 W Budget Across the Eight Powered Ports
The eight PoE+ ports share a 61 W budget, which works out at around 7.5 W per port with all eight loaded - comfortable for IP phones, door stations and lower-draw access points, tighter for several high-power Wi-Fi 6 units. Maximum consumption is 76.5 W with the full 61 W of powered devices attached, dropping to 10.3 W with no PoE load. Where more headroom is needed, the SG2210MP offers the same port layout on a 150 W budget.
Fibre Uplink Without Leaving the Desktop
The two Gigabit SFP slots let a small site backhaul on fibre - past the 100 m copper limit, isolated electrically from the rest of the building, and terminated at a switch that still sits on a shelf. That combination is genuinely useful in a tenanted unit or a satellite office where the riser is fibre but there is no space or budget for a comms cabinet. The pair can also carry a redundant or aggregated uplink.
20 Gbps Fabric With an 8K MAC Table
A 20 Gbps switching capacity and 14.88 Mpps forwarding rate cover all ten ports running full duplex at once, so the fabric itself is never the constraint. The 8K MAC address table handles an access layer carrying several VLANs plus the wireless clients behind attached access points, and the 4.1 Mbit packet buffer with 9 KB jumbo frame support absorbs the bursty transfers that NAS, backup and surveillance workloads produce.
Managed Standalone or Through an Omada Controller
The TL-SG2210P can be configured on its own through its web interface, or adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller so it is configured, monitored and firmware-updated alongside every other Omada device on site. PoE ports can be scheduled and power-cycled remotely from the controller, which saves a site visit when an access point or camera needs a hard reset.

Will 61 W power eight access points?
It depends on the model. Eight low-draw access points or IP phones fit comfortably; eight high-power Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 units will not. Send us the device list and we will check the budget — or step up to the SG2210MP, which has the same port layout on 150 W.
Is there a newer version of this switch?
Yes. TP-Link lists the SG2210P as the newer version of the TL-SG2210P. Ask SourceIT which generation is currently in stock and we will advise on the right one for your project.
Are SFP modules included?
No. The two Gigabit SFP slots are supplied empty. SourceIT can quote TP-Link SFP optics and fibre patch leads to match the distance and fibre type of your run.
