PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch with 4-Port PoE+ (TL-SG1008P) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SG1008P is the small-site standard: eight Gigabit ports, four of them delivering 802.3at PoE+ from a 64 W budget, in a 171 mm fanless metal chassis with a security lock slot. There is nothing to configure — it powers cameras, access points and IP phones the moment it is cabled, and the four non-PoE ports handle the router uplink and wired desktops.
Four PoE+ Ports, Four Standard Ports, One Small Box
Ports 1 to 4 supply 802.3af and 802.3at power from a 64 W shared budget; ports 5 to 8 are ordinary Gigabit. That split suits the typical small deployment exactly — two or three access points or cameras on the powered side, the router and a NAS or printer on the rest. Four 802.3af devices at around 13 W each fit within budget comfortably; two full 30 W 802.3at devices will use most of it.
16 Gbps Non-Blocking With IGMP Snooping and QoS
All eight ports run at Gigabit full duplex on a 16 Gbps fabric, with an 11.904 Mpps forwarding rate that sustains line rate at minimum frame size. A 4K MAC address table covers the endpoint count of a small office, and 16 KB jumbo frame support benefits NAS transfers and NVR recording. IGMP snooping keeps multicast video off ports that did not ask for it, and 802.1p/DSCP QoS plus 802.3x flow control operate without any setup.
Fanless Metal Chassis With a Security Lock
At 171 x 98 x 27 mm and completely fanless, the switch is silent and small enough to sit on a shelf, behind a monitor or inside a wall cabinet. The physical security lock slot matters more than it sounds on a desktop unit: these switches often live in reception areas, shop counters and classrooms rather than locked comms rooms. Power comes from an external 54 V DC / 1.3 A adapter supplied in the box.
Ideal For
Singapore shops, clinics, small offices and home offices adding two to four PoE devices to an existing network without a rack or a managed switch. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SG1008P
How many PoE devices will 64 W run?
Four standard 802.3af devices at roughly 13 W each fit within the budget. Two 802.3at devices drawing the full 30 W will use most of it. If your devices are heavier, the TL-SG1008MP offers 153 W across eight ports.
Can it be adopted into an Omada Controller?
No. It is unmanaged and will not appear in a controller, though it powers and connects Omada access points normally. Ask us about the JetStream smart and managed ranges if the switch itself needs to be managed.
Can it be rack mounted?
No rackmount kit is supplied and TP-Link publishes no mounting row for this model — it is a desktop unit. For a rack, look at the TL-SG1008MP.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, in line with TP-Link's replacement warranty policy for unmanaged PoE switches. Every unit sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole build — switching, access points, cameras and optics — with local warranty and support.
