PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 8-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch with 4-Port PoE (TL-SF1008LP) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SF1008LP is the entry point to PoE in TP-Link's eight-port Fast Ethernet range: four 802.3af powered ports on a 41 W budget, four data ports, and an Extend mode that reaches 250 m. In a 171 mm fanless chassis, it covers a small camera or handset cluster at the lowest cost per powered port in the family.
Four 802.3af PoE Ports on a 41 W Budget
Ports 1 to 4 are IEEE 802.3af compliant with a 41 W system budget — roughly 10 W per port with all four loaded, which suits fixed-dome IP cameras, VoIP handsets, door readers and single-band access points. Ports 5 to 8 carry data only, so a recorder, a router or a desktop can share the switch. Compliant devices negotiate power automatically; non-PoE equipment on the same ports simply receives data and draws nothing.
Extend Mode Doubles the Reach on Ports 1-4
The Extend mode button applies to ports 1 to 4 and carries power and data past the 100 m Ethernet limit, at reduced throughput. That is what lets a camera at the far corner of a car park, a gate reader, or a sensor in a detached store connect without a mid-span cabinet or a media converter pair. The trade-off is bandwidth, which is the right one for a low-bitrate camera or a reader and the wrong one for a workstation.
Priority Mode for the Two Ports That Matter Most
Priority mode covers ports 1 and 2, reserving forwarding capacity for whatever is patched there when the switch is busy. On a small mixed segment that is usually the NVR-facing camera or the reception handset, and keeping it ahead of a bulk transfer on a data port removes the most common cause of stuttering video or clipped audio. Both Extend and Priority are physical buttons, so the behaviour survives power cuts and resets with nothing to reconfigure.
1.6 Gbps Fabric, 2K MAC Table, Store-and-Forward
All eight ports are 10/100 Mbps with auto negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX on a 1.6 Gbps non-blocking fabric at 1.1904 Mpps — every port full duplex at once with nothing oversubscribed. A 2K MAC address table is sized for a small edge segment, 2 KB jumbo frame support covers slightly oversized payloads, and store-and-forward switching checks each frame before forwarding, keeping corrupted frames off the rest of the network.
Silent, Efficient and Small Enough to Sit Anywhere
At 171 × 98 × 27 mm and fanless, the TL-SF1008LP is completely silent and fits on a shelf in a reception area, a shop back room or a clinic rather than needing a comms cupboard. The external 53.5 VDC / 0.81 A adapter keeps the mains side outside the enclosure. Draw is 2.2 W with nothing powered and 47.1 W with a full 41 W of powered devices attached, across a rated 0-40 °C operating range.
Ideal For
Singapore shops, clinics, small offices and home offices adding two to four IP cameras, handsets or access points on a budget, and integrators who need one long cable run without extra hardware. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The TL-SF1008LP is an unmanaged switch. Extend and Priority modes are hardware buttons on the unit; there is no web interface, no CLI and no SNMP agent, and it cannot be adopted into an Omada SDN Controller or managed from the Omada app. Where VLANs, 802.1X or central monitoring are required, SourceIT can quote a JetStream smart or Omada-managed switch.
| Management | Unmanaged — hardware mode buttons only |
| Omada SDN Controller | Not supported on this model |
| Powered Devices | IEEE 802.3af compliant PDs only — 802.3at devices are not supported on this model |
| Data Ports | Ports 5-8, 10/100 Mbps RJ45, no PoE |
| Long-Reach Cabling | Extend mode on ports 1-4 at reduced throughput |

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SF1008LP
TL-SF1008LP or TL-SF1008P?
Both are 8-port Fast Ethernet switches with 802.3af PoE on ports 1-4. The LP has a 41 W budget and adds Extend and Priority mode buttons; the P has a 57 W budget. The part numbers differ by two characters, so check the quotation carefully before ordering.
How many cameras will 41 W run?
A typical fixed-dome 802.3af camera draws 4-8 W, so all four ports is realistic. Devices with IR illuminators, heaters or PTZ motors draw considerably more and are usually 802.3at, which this model does not support. Send SourceIT the camera list and we will confirm.
What does Extend mode actually do?
It lets ports 1-4 carry PoE power and data past the usual 100 m limit, at reduced throughput — intended for cameras, readers and sensors at the far end of a site rather than for workstations.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, under TP-Link's Omada replacement warranty policy. Every unit sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Is stock held locally?
SourceIT holds fast-moving Omada lines in Singapore. Anything not in local stock is brought in on indent — ask us for the current lead time before committing to a project date.
