PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada 5-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 1-Port PoE++ In and 4-Port PoE+ Out (SG2005P-PD) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The SG2005P-PD takes power in over a single Ethernet run and passes it back out to four PoE+ devices. There is no power socket and no adapter: one 802.3bt cable from the building feeds the switch and everything hanging off it. Rated from -40 to 60 °C with pole and wall mounting kits supplied, it is built for the places mains does not reach.
One Cable In, Four Powered Ports Out
Port 1 is a PoE In port compliant with 802.3af, at and bt; ports 2 to 5 are PoE Out ports compliant with 802.3af/at. That single upstream cable carries both the data uplink and all the power the switch and its attached devices consume, which removes the need for an electrician, a weatherproof outlet or a local UPS at the remote end. It is the standard way to extend a network to a car park, a gate, a rooftop or a warehouse mezzanine.
Pass-Through Budget Scales With the Upstream Source
How much power the four output ports can share depends entirely on what feeds the switch: 64 W when powered by an 802.3bt Type 4 (90 W) source, 44 W from 802.3bt Type 3 (60 W), 19 W from 802.3at, and 6 W from 802.3af. Plan the upstream injector or switch port first and the output budget follows from it. Maximum total consumption is 71.5 W when fed from a Type 4 source.
Rated From -40 to 60 °C for Outdoor and Industrial Sites
The operating range runs from -40 °C to 60 °C, far beyond the 0-40 °C of a normal desktop switch, and Omada supplies both pole-mounting and wall-mounting kits in the box. That combination is what makes it practical to fix the unit to a lamp post, a fence, a gantry or an external wall where a camera cluster or an outdoor access point needs both a switch and power. The chassis is fanless at 100 x 38.5 x 170 mm.
Managed, Not Just a Passive Extender
Unlike a passive PoE splitter, the SG2005P-PD is a smart switch: a 10 Gbps switching capacity, 7.44 Mpps forwarding rate, an 8K MAC address table, a 4.1 Mbit packet buffer and 9 KB jumbo frame support sit behind those five ports. It is adopted into the Omada Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller like any other Omada device, so a remote unit is configured, monitored and firmware-updated from the same console as the rest of the network.
Remote PoE Control Saves the Site Visit
Because the output ports are controlled in software, a camera or access point at the far end of the site can be power-cycled from the Omada Controller rather than by sending someone with a ladder. On a remote installation that single capability often justifies the switch on its own - a locked-up device at the top of a pole is otherwise a scheduled truck roll.
Ideal For
Singapore car parks, gates, perimeters, rooftops, worksites and warehouses where cameras or outdoor access points need power and switching but there is no socket, and integrators extending an Omada network past the point mains is available. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The SG2005P-PD is part of the Omada ecosystem: gateways, switches and access points are managed together from one controller, under one set of policies, with one view of the network. Cloud and app features listed below require the device to be adopted into an Omada Controller.
| Omada SDN Controller | Supported — Omada Cloud-Based Controller, Omada Hardware Controller or Omada Software Controller |
| Omada App | Supported — requires an Omada Controller |
| Omada Cloud Access | Supported — requires an Omada Controller |
| Standalone Mode | Supported — configure the switch on its own through its web interface |
| Upstream Power Source | Any 802.3af, 802.3at or 802.3bt source; the PoE Out budget depends on which standard feeds the PoE In port |

Frequently Asked Questions — SG2005P-PD
How much power will the four output ports actually have?
It depends on the upstream source: 64 W from an 802.3bt Type 4 (90 W) feed, 44 W from Type 3 (60 W), 19 W from 802.3at and 6 W from 802.3af. Specify the upstream injector or PoE switch port first — that decides what the four outputs can support.
Does it need a power adapter?
No, and none is supplied. All power comes in over the PoE In port, which is the point of the product: one Ethernet run delivers both data and power to a location with no socket.
Is it weatherproof?
Omada rates it for -40 to 60 °C operation and supplies pole and wall mounting kits. It does not publish an IP ingress rating for this model, so we do not state one — for a fully exposed position, confirm the mounting arrangement with us before you order.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, with a GST invoice on every unit. Send us your bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics.
