PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Pharos 5GHz 300Mbps 13dBi Outdoor CPE (CPE510) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The CPE510 is the compact 5 GHz workhorse of TP-Link's Pharos line: a built-in 13 dBi dual-polarized directional MIMO antenna in a 224 mm body, rated to 300 Mbps and, with TP-Link's system-level optimizations, to wireless transmission beyond 15 km. Its wider 45° beam and second Ethernet port with PoE passthrough make it more flexible on site than the big 23 dBi dish models.
13 dBi Dual-Polarized Antenna With a Workable 45° Beam
The built-in 13 dBi 2x2 dual-polarized directional antenna gives a 45° horizontal and 30° vertical beam. That is deliberately wider than the 7-9° of the long-range models, and it changes what the unit is good at: alignment is far more forgiving, and one CPE510 acting as a base station can serve several remote units spread across an arc. TP-Link cites system-level optimizations for more than 15 km of long-range wireless transmission, with transmit power adjustable to 23 dBm / 200 mW in 1 dBm steps.
Two Ethernet Ports With Passive PoE Passthrough
This is the practical difference from the CPE605 and CPE610. The CPE510 has two 10/100 Mbps shielded ports: LAN0 takes passive PoE in, and LAN1 passes PoE through to a second device. A camera at the same mast can be powered from the same injector and the same cable run - no second drop, no local socket. There is also a dedicated grounding terminal, which a mast-mounted radio in a lightning-prone climate should always be using.
300 Mbps and Pharos MAXtream TDMA
Wireless speeds run up to 300 Mbps at 40 MHz, 144.4 Mbps at 20 MHz, 72.2 Mbps at 10 MHz and 36.1 Mbps at 5 MHz across 5.15-5.85 GHz. With MAXtream enabled the radio leaves 802.11a/n contention for TP-Link's proprietary TDMA scheduling, allocating airtime per station - which is what keeps throughput and latency predictable in the point-to-multipoint role the 45° beam suits. The narrow 5 and 10 MHz channels are there for congested bands and marginal hops.
Rugged ASA Enclosure, IPX5, 15 kV ESD and 6 kV Lightning Protection
The casing is outdoor ASA stabilized plastic - the material that resists UV yellowing and embrittlement over years on a roof - with IPX5 waterproof certification, 15 kV ESD protection and 6 kV lightning protection. The operating range is -30 to 70 °C with storage from -40 to 70 °C. Note that the rating is IPX5 rather than the IP65 of the larger models: it is tested against water jets but carries no published dust rating.
Six Operation Modes and Free Pharos Control
TP-Link publishes AP, Client, Bridge, Repeater, AP Router and AP Client Router (WISP) modes for this unit, so the same hardware can be a base station, a subscriber unit or a gateway depending on the job. Management runs through the unit's own HTTPS web interface or the free Pharos Control application, with SNMP v2c, SSH, system log, Ping Watch Dog and dynamic DDNS. Maximum power consumption is 10.5 W and the supplied 24 V 1 A injector supports Power over Ethernet runs up to 60 m.
Ideal For
Singapore worksites, estates, marinas and campuses needing a flexible base station or subscriber unit, mast installations where a camera must be powered from the same cable, and wireless ISP deployments serving several subscribers from one arc. TP-Link lists the CPE510 as End of Sale, so availability is limited - ask SourceIT about current stock and the current generation. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The CPE510 is a Pharos-series outdoor CPE. It runs TP-Link's PharOS firmware and is managed through its own web interface or the free Pharos Control application - it is not an Omada device and cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller, so it will not appear in an Omada site view alongside Omada gateways, switches and access points.
| Omada Controller | Not supported — the CPE510 runs PharOS and is not adopted by an Omada Controller |
| Pharos Control | Supported — free centralised discovery and remote management of Pharos devices |
| Standalone Management | Supported — HTTP/HTTPS web interface, SSH, SNMP v2c, system log |
| PoE Passthrough | LAN1 passes passive PoE through to a second device on the same mast |
| MAXtream TDMA | Proprietary to Pharos devices — both ends of the link must be Pharos units with MAXtream enabled |
TP-Link does not publish a per-device list of equipment supported on the passthrough port. Tell us what you intend to power from LAN1 and we will check its input requirement against the 24 V passive supply before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions — CPE510
When would I choose the CPE510 over the CPE610?
The CPE510's 13 dBi antenna has a 45° beam, so it is easier to align and can serve several remote units from one base station. The CPE610's 23 dBi dish has a 9° beam for maximum reach on a single dedicated link. The CPE510 also adds a second Ethernet port with PoE passthrough.
What does PoE passthrough actually let me do?
LAN1 passes passive PoE on to a second device, so a camera on the same mast can be powered from the same injector and cable run instead of needing its own drop.
Can I manage it from my Omada Controller?
No. The CPE510 runs PharOS and is managed through its own web interface or the free Pharos Control application.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty — Pharos Outdoor CPE sits in TP-Link's five-year replacement tier. Every CPE510 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole build — bridge pair, mounting, surge protection, switching and the Omada network behind it — with local warranty and support.
