PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada 48-Port Gigabit Stackable Lite L3 Managed PoE++ Switch with 4× 10G Slots (SG5452XMPP) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The SG5452XMPP is TP-Link's 48-port PoE flagship in the Omada SG5400 stackable Lite L3 range: 48 Gigabit PoE ports (8 × 90 W PoE++ and 40 × 30 W PoE+) sharing a 770 W PoE budget, four 10G SFP+ uplinks, four-unit stacking and Lite L3 routing under Omada SDN.
770 W Across 48 PoE Ports, With Eight 90 W PoE++ Ports
Ports 1–8 are IEEE 802.3af/at/bt PoE++ ports delivering up to 90 W each, and ports 9–48 are 802.3af/at PoE+ ports at up to 30 W each, all drawing on a 770 W total PoE budget. That covers a full closet of access points, IP phones and cameras, with eight high-power ports for PTZ cameras, Wi-Fi 7 APs or displays. TP-Link footnotes that the budget is a laboratory figure and the actual PoE budget is not guaranteed and varies with clients and environment — plan high-draw deployments with headroom.
Perpetual PoE and Fast PoE
TP-Link lists Perpetual PoE, which keeps power flowing to connected devices while the switch itself reboots, plus Fast PoE. For cameras, phones and access points that matters during firmware upgrades and maintenance windows, when a power drop would otherwise take every device on the switch offline.
176 Gbps Per Unit and Four-Unit Stacking
48 Gigabit RJ45 ports and four 10G SFP+ slots give 176 Gbps switching capacity and 130.94 Mpps forwarding per unit. Up to four units stack physically over the 10G SFP+ uplinks; for this model TP-Link specifies up to 40 Gbps stacking bandwidth with a maximum of two stacking ports.
Lite L3 Routing for Inter-VLAN Traffic at the Edge
Static routing, RIP v1/v2, OSPF v2/v3, a DHCP server (up to 64 IP pools) and DHCP relay let the switch route between VLANs locally instead of hair-pinning traffic through the gateway. That is usually what a building or floor needs — routing between staff, guest, voice and CCTV VLANs — without paying for the full BGP/IS-IS stack of a core switch.
Security and Availability Built In
ACLs (IPv4 and IPv6), Dynamic ARP Inspection, IEEE 802.1X with MAB, port security (up to 64 MAC addresses per port), DHCP Snooping and IPv4/IPv6 Source Guard defend the access layer, while ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) gives rapid protection and recovery in ring topologies.
Omada SDN: Cloud Management and Zero-Touch Provisioning
Adopted into an Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controller, the switch is configured, monitored and upgraded alongside Omada gateways and access points — automatic device discovery, batch configuration and firmware upgrades, abnormal event warnings and reboot schedules. Zero-Touch Provisioning requires the Omada Cloud-Based Controller. Standalone web GUI and CLI management remain available.
Ideal For
High-density PoE access closets in schools, offices, hotels and retail sites that need to power large numbers of APs, phones and cameras from one 1U switch, with stacking and inter-VLAN routing under Omada. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Notes
* PoE budget calculations are based on laboratory testing. The actual PoE power budget is not guaranteed and will vary due to client limitations and environmental factors. The maximum power output of every single PoE++ port is 90W.
** Only one 10G RJ45 SFP+ module can be inserted at a time.
Advanced features marked as controller functions require the use of the Omada Controller. Zero-Touch Provisioning requires the use of the Omada Cloud-Based Controller (Omada Cloud Standard or Omada Cloud Essentials).
TP-Link lists 2,000 dynamic ARP entries and up to 40 Gbps stacking bandwidth (max 2 stacking ports) for this model, versus 3,600 entries and 80 Gbps (4 ports) on the non-PoE SG5452X; figures are reproduced as published.
Compatibility & Software Support

Frequently Asked Questions — SG5452XMPP
Does the SG5452XMPP need an Omada Controller?
No. The SG5452XMPP runs standalone through its own web interface and CLI. Adopting it into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller is what unlocks central configuration, monitoring, batch firmware management and cloud/app access across every Omada device on site; Zero-Touch Provisioning requires the cloud-based option.
How much PoE can the SG5452XMPP deliver?
TP-Link rates the total PoE budget at 770 W, with up to 90 W on each of ports 1–8 (PoE++) and up to 30 W on ports 9–48 (PoE+). TP-Link notes the budget is based on laboratory testing and the actual figure will vary with clients and environment.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
