PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada 24-Port Gigabit Stackable Lite L3 Managed Switch with 4× 10G Slots (SG5428X) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The SG5428X is the entry 24-port model in TP-Link's Omada SG5400 stackable Lite L3 range: 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports, four 10G SFP+ uplinks, 128 Gbps per unit and four-unit stacking in a fanless, short-depth 1U chassis drawing under 20 W.
24 Gigabit Ports With Four 10G SFP+ Uplinks
24 × 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports and four 1/10 Gbps SFP+ slots provide 128 Gbps switching capacity and 95.23 Mpps forwarding per unit, with a 16 K MAC table, 12 Mbit packet buffer and 9 KB jumbo frames.
Stack Four Units at Up to 80 Gbps
Up to four units stack physically over the 10G SFP+ slots — all uplink ports can be used as stacking ports — for up to 80 Gbps stacking bandwidth across four stacking ports, so a closet can grow from 24 to 96 ports while being managed as one switch.
Fanless, 180 mm Deep and Under 20 W
The SG5428X is fanless, 440 × 180 × 44 mm, and draws a maximum of 19.6 W (220 V/50 Hz) — a good fit for shallow wall-mount racks and comms cupboards in occupied space.
Lite L3 Routing for Inter-VLAN Traffic at the Edge
Static routing, RIP v1/v2, OSPF v2/v3, a DHCP server (up to 64 IP pools) and DHCP relay let the switch route between VLANs locally instead of hair-pinning traffic through the gateway. That is usually what a building or floor needs — routing between staff, guest, voice and CCTV VLANs — without paying for the full BGP/IS-IS stack of a core switch.
Security and Availability Built In
ACLs (IPv4 and IPv6), Dynamic ARP Inspection, IEEE 802.1X with MAB, port security (up to 64 MAC addresses per port), DHCP Snooping and IPv4/IPv6 Source Guard defend the access layer, while ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) gives rapid protection and recovery in ring topologies.
Omada SDN: Cloud Management and Zero-Touch Provisioning
Adopted into an Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controller, the switch is configured, monitored and upgraded alongside Omada gateways and access points — automatic device discovery, batch configuration and firmware upgrades, abnormal event warnings and reboot schedules. Zero-Touch Provisioning requires the Omada Cloud-Based Controller. Standalone web GUI and CLI management remain available.
Ideal For
Small-to-mid office and school access closets, shallow wall racks and branch sites that want stacking, 10G uplinks and local inter-VLAN routing under Omada without PoE. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — SG5428X
Does the SG5428X need an Omada Controller?
No. The SG5428X runs standalone through its own web interface and CLI. Adopting it into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller is what unlocks central configuration, monitoring, batch firmware management and cloud/app access across every Omada device on site; Zero-Touch Provisioning requires the cloud-based option.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty. Every SG5428X sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Is stock held locally?
SourceIT holds fast-moving Omada lines in Singapore. Anything not in local stock is brought in on indent — ask us for the current lead time before committing to a project date.
Is this model available for project orders?
Yes. TP-Link supplies this model for project deployments; contact SourceIT with your bill of materials for pricing and lead time.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
