PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link Omada 2.4GHz 300Mbps Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Bridge (EAP100-Bridge KIT) - 5 Years Local Warranty

The EAP100-Bridge KIT is Omada's entry-level pre-paired wireless bridge, a pair of 2.4 GHz units delivering 300 Mbps over up to 500 m. It sits below the 5 GHz EAP211-Bridge KIT, trading that model's 867 Mbps, 1 km reach and Gigabit ports for a lower-cost 2.4 GHz link with Fast Ethernet, aimed at cameras and light data on farms, car parks and outbuildings.

300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz Across Up to 500 m

Each unit runs IEEE 802.11b/g/n on the 2.400-2.4835 GHz ISM band, with data rates from 6.5 to 300 Mbps across MCS0 to MCS7 and selectable 20 or 40 MHz channel width. Rated transmission distance is up to 500 m (1640 ft) in line of sight. The 2.4 GHz band propagates further and tolerates partial obstruction better than 5 GHz, which is the reason to pick this kit for a rural or semi-obstructed hop where absolute throughput matters less than the link simply staying up.

8 dBi Dual-Polarised Directional Antennas

The bridge uses an internal 2x2 dual-polarised directional MIMO antenna with 8 dBi gain and a 70-degree horizontal beamwidth. Focusing the pattern into a directional beam rather than radiating omnidirectionally is what delivers the range and keeps the link clear of the household and office Wi-Fi that crowds 2.4 GHz. The comparatively wide 70-degree horizontal beam is a deliberate trade against the EAP211's narrower 60 degrees: less gain, but noticeably more forgiving to aim on a pole that may shift in wind.

Pre-Paired at the Factory, Powered On and Working

Both units are preconfigured for instant point-to-point auto-pairing, so the link establishes itself as soon as the two ends have power - no web portal, no SSID, no key exchange. Where more than two sites are involved, point-to-multipoint operation supports up to three clients on one link. LED signal indicators on the housing give an at-a-glance strength reading during installation, and up to eight associated stations are supported per unit. For installers doing repeat deployments this removes the configuration step entirely.

App-Guided Alignment and Instant Speed Verification

The Omada app provides visualised, app-guided alignment with real-time signal strength as the unit is turned, plus an instant speed test to verify the installation before leaving site. Channel optimisation and antenna alignment are both exposed as explicit functions in the app rather than being left to guesswork. On a 500 m hop between two poles this turns a two-person alignment job into a one-person one, and it gives a recorded throughput figure to hand back as proof the link performs as specified.

Three Fast Ethernet Ports and Solar-Compatible Power

Each bridge carries three 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, so cameras or other devices at the far end connect directly without adding a switch on the pole. Power can come from 802.3af PoE, 24 V or 48 V passive PoE, or 12 V DC, the last of which is compatible with TP-Link's solar power supply system. Consumption is modest - a maximum of 3.9 W on DC and 4.8 W over PoE - which is precisely what makes a solar-fed installation practical at a site with no mains supply at all.

IP65 and 6 kV Protection, Managed Standalone or via Omada SDN

The 79 x 60.3 x 224 mm enclosure is IP65 weatherproof with plus/minus 6 kV lightning protection on the Ethernet ports and a -40 to +70 degrees C operating range, and pole mounting kits are included. Run the pair standalone through the web UI, or adopt them into Omada SDN for remote centralised management alongside the rest of the estate; SSH and SNMP v1/v2c/v3 are available. VLAN support covers SSID, dynamic and management VLANs, with WPA/WPA2 Personal and Enterprise security and a guest network option.

Ideal For

Singapore businesses, schools, hotels and managed-service providers building on Omada, and IT teams that want a wireless bridge kit they can adopt, monitor and update centrally rather than box by box. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — EAP100-Bridge KIT

Does the EAP100-Bridge KIT need an Omada Controller?

No. The EAP100-Bridge KIT runs standalone through its own web interface. Adopting it into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller is what unlocks central configuration, monitoring, firmware management and cloud/app access across every Omada device on site — at no licence cost.

What warranty does SourceIT provide?

Five years local Singapore warranty. Every EAP100-Bridge KIT sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.

Is stock held locally?

SourceIT holds fast-moving Omada lines in Singapore. Anything not in local stock is brought in on indent — ask us for the current lead time before committing to a project date.

Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?

Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
