PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 10-Port Gigabit Easy Smart Switch with 8-Port PoE+ (TL-SG1210MPE) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SG1210MPE gives eight 802.3af/at PoE+ ports a 123 W budget, adds a combo SFP uplink for a fibre run, and keeps the whole thing fanless in a 209 mm desktop case. It is the Easy Smart switch for a small floor of access points or cameras that also needs to reach the comms room over fibre.
Eight PoE+ Ports With a 123 W Budget
Ports 1-8 are 802.3af and 802.3at compliant with a shared 123 W budget — the most generous allocation in the compact Easy Smart range, and enough for four PoE+ access points at full draw or eight lighter devices. Power comes from an external 53.5 V DC/2.43 A adapter. The switch draws 7.66 W with nothing powered and 141.54 W at a full 123 W PoE load.
A Combo SFP Port for the Fibre Uplink
Alongside nine 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports the TL-SG1210MPE carries one 1000 Mbps combo SFP/RJ45 port. That matters when the switch sits at the far end of a building and the uplink has to be fibre — for distance, for electrical isolation between blocks, or simply because the copper run would exceed 100 m. You use either the SFP or its paired RJ45, not both at once.
Extend Mode and PoE Auto Recovery for Unattended Devices
Extend Mode pushes PoE delivery past the usual 100 m limit at reduced speed, which recovers the camera position that sits just out of reach. PoE Auto Recovery power-cycles a port whose powered device has stopped responding, so a frozen access point or camera restarts itself. Between them these two features remove most of the routine site visits a small PoE installation would otherwise generate.
VLANs, QoS and Multicast Control From a Browser
Up to 32 simultaneous VLANs are available from the full 4K VLAN ID range in MTU, port-based and 802.1Q tag-based modes. QoS covers port-based, 802.1p and DSCP priority across four queues with rate limiting and storm control. IGMP Snooping v1/v2/v3 confines multicast to the ports that asked for it. Static link aggregation, port mirroring, cable diagnostics and loop prevention complete the set, all configured from the web GUI or the Easy Smart Configuration Utility. Switching capacity is 20 Gbps at 14.88 Mpps with a 4K MAC table and 16 KB jumbo frames.
Ideal For
Singapore offices, schools, warehouses and multi-block sites powering up to eight PoE devices with a fibre uplink back to the core, and integrators who need PoE distance and fault recovery in a fanless desktop unit. Supplied by SourceIT with five years local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The TL-SG1210MPE is an Easy Smart switch, managed on its own through a web browser or TP-Link's Easy Smart Configuration Utility. It is not an Omada SDN device and cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller — though it will power and carry traffic for Omada access points and other PoE devices. Where the switch itself must appear in an Omada Controller, ask us about the Omada JetStream smart and L2+ managed PoE ranges.
| Omada SDN Controller | Not supported — this model cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller |
| Omada App / Omada Cloud Access | Not supported |
| Powering Omada Access Points | Supported — 802.3af/at powered devices within the 123 W budget |
| SFP Optics | 1000 Mbps combo SFP/RJ45 port — ask us to quote the matching SFP module and patch leads |
| Standalone Management | Supported — web-based GUI and Easy Smart Configuration Utility |

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SG1210MPE
Can I use the SFP port and its paired RJ45 port at the same time?
No. It is a combo port — one physical connection is active at a time. The other eight RJ45 ports plus the ninth copper port are unaffected.
How many access points will 123 W power?
Four 802.3at PoE+ access points at full draw, or a larger number of lighter 802.3af devices. Send us the model list and we will confirm the budget before you order.
What is Extend Mode?
It trades link speed for distance, letting PoE reach a device sited beyond the usual 100 m copper limit — useful for a camera at the end of a long corridor or perimeter run.
Can it be adopted into an Omada Controller?
No. It manages itself through its own web interface. It can still power Omada access points — only the switch stays outside controller management.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty under TP-Link's replacement warranty policy for Easy Smart PoE switches, with a GST invoice on every order.
