TP-Link TL-WR902AC AC750 Wireless Travel Router
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link AC750 Wireless Travel Router (TL-WR902AC) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The TL-WR902AC is a dual-band AC750 travel router in a 74 x 67 x 22 mm, 56.7 g body. It pairs 433 Mbps of 5 GHz Wi-Fi with 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, adds a USB 2.0 port for media sharing, and publishes five working modes — Router, Access Point, Range Extender, Client and Hotspot (WISP) — selected with a physical mode switch on the side.
Dual-Band AC750 Rather Than Single-Band N300
The step up from TP-Link's nano routers is the 5 GHz radio. TP-Link publishes 433 Mbps at 5 GHz under IEEE 802.11ac/n/a and 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz under IEEE 802.11n/b/g, across two fixed internal antennas. In a hotel, a serviced apartment or a co-working space the 2.4 GHz band is usually congested; having a 5 GHz SSID available for a laptop or a streaming stick while phones and smaller devices sit on 2.4 GHz is what makes the connection feel stable rather than merely present.
A Physical Mode Switch for Five Working Modes
Router, Access Point, Range Extender, Client and Hotspot (WISP) are all published for this model, and the unit carries a dedicated Mode switch alongside the Reset button. That matters on the road: the mode can be changed without first finding the web interface, so moving from a hotel with a wired socket to a cafe with only Wi-Fi is a switch flick and a reconnection rather than a configuration session.
USB 2.0 Port for Local Media and File Sharing
The TL-WR902AC publishes a USB 2.0 port with NTFS and FAT32 support. A flash drive or portable disk plugged into it becomes available to everything on the router's network, which is a practical way to share presentation files with colleagues in a meeting room or to give a tablet access to offline media in a hotel room without cloud storage or a laptop acting as host.
Guest Networks on Both Bands
Security is published as an SPI firewall with access control and IP and MAC binding, with WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption. One guest network is available on each band — 1x 5 GHz and 1x 2.4 GHz — so a colleague or a client can be given internet access that is kept clear of whatever is attached to the router's own USB port or wired port.
Power, Size and What Is Not Published
Power is 5 V, 2 A, the single Ethernet socket is a combined 10/100 Mbps WAN/LAN port, and the body measures 74 x 67 x 22 mm at 56.7 g. TP-Link's own footnote on this page is worth repeating: maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from the IEEE 802.11 specifications, and actual throughput and coverage vary with building materials, local interference, traffic density and client hardware.
Ideal For
Business travellers, consultants on client sites, and anyone who wants a dual-band private network in a hotel room plus a USB port for sharing files locally. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.

TP-Link's footnote on this page, quoted in full: "Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless data throughput and wireless coverage are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of 1) environmental factors, including building materials, physical objects, and obstacles, 2) network conditions, including local interference, volume and density of traffic, product location, network complexity, and network overhead, and 3) client limitations, including rated performance, location, connection, quality, and client condition."
TP-Link does not publish an LED row for this model, so none is claimed here.
