PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada 16-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 8-Port PoE+ (SG2016P) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The SG2016P gives a small floor or branch office sixteen managed Gigabit ports with a 120 W PoE+ budget across the first eight, in a fanless desktop or wall-mounted chassis. It is the PoE member of the sixteen-port Omada smart-switch line and is adopted, configured and monitored from an Omada Controller alongside the rest of the network.
Sixteen Gigabit Ports, Eight of Them PoE+
Ports 1 to 8 are 802.3af/at PoE+ and share a 120 W budget; ports 9 to 16 are standard Gigabit. That split suits the usual small-site mix - a handful of Wi-Fi access points, IP phones and cameras drawing power, with printers, desktops and an uplink on the remaining ports. All sixteen run at 10/100/1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX, so nothing has to be patched in a particular order for the link to come up correctly.
120 W PoE+ Budget From a Fanless Chassis
The 53.5 VDC/2.43 A external adapter supports the full 120 W PoE budget while the switch itself stays fanless, so there is no moving part and no noise - it can sit in a reception area, a classroom or an open-plan office rather than a comms room. Maximum draw is 146.5 W with a full 120 W of powered devices attached. The 286 x 111.7 x 25.4 mm chassis mounts on a desktop or a wall and carries a physical security lock point.
32 Gbps Fabric With a Full L2+ Feature Set
A 32 Gbps switching capacity and 23.81 Mpps forwarding rate cover all sixteen ports running full duplex at once. The software is the complete Omada smart-switch stack: 16 IPv4/IPv6 interfaces, 32 static routes, DHCP server and relay, DHCP L2 relay, static, proxy and gratuitous ARP, link aggregation, spanning tree, loopback detection, DLDP and 802.1ab LLDP/LLDP-MED. A 4.1 Mbit packet buffer and 9 KB jumbo frames handle bursty file and backup traffic.
VLANs, Eight-Queue QoS and a 230-Entry ACL Engine
802.1Q tagging supports up to 4K VLAN groups, with MAC VLAN, protocol VLAN, GVRP and voice VLAN on top - enough to keep staff, guest, voice, CCTV and IoT traffic properly separated on a single switch. QoS classifies by 802.1p CoS or DSCP into eight priority queues with strict-priority or weighted round-robin scheduling, plus port and flow-based rate limiting and storm control. The ACL engine holds up to 230 time-based MAC, IP, IPv6 or combined rules bound by port or VLAN.
Central Management and Zero-Touch Provisioning
Adopted into the Omada Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller, the SG2016P gains automatic device discovery, batch configuration, batch firmware upgrading, intelligent network monitoring, abnormal event warnings and reboot scheduling. Zero-Touch Provisioning through the Cloud-Based Controller lets a unit be shipped to a branch and brought online without a technician on site. It also runs standalone through its own web GUI, CLI over Telnet, or SNMP v1/v2c/v3 with RMON.
Ideal For
Singapore offices, schools, clinics and retail sites powering access points, IP phones and cameras from one managed switch, and IT teams standardising on Omada for single-controller management. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — SG2016P
How many devices can the 120 W PoE budget actually power?
It depends on the class of each device. A PoE+ (802.3at) port can deliver up to 30 W, so eight fully loaded PoE+ devices would exceed the budget; typical Wi-Fi access points and IP phones draw far less, and most small sites run six to eight devices comfortably within 120 W. Send us your device list and we will work the budget out with you.
Which ports supply PoE?
Ports 1 to 8 only. Ports 9 to 16 are standard Gigabit data ports with no power.
Does the SG2016P need an Omada Controller?
No. It runs standalone through its own web interface, CLI or SNMP. Adopting it into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller is what unlocks central configuration, monitoring, firmware management and cloud/app access across every Omada device on site.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, with a GST invoice on every unit. Send us your bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics.
