PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link Omada 10-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 8-Port PoE+ (SG2210MP) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The SG2210MP is a rack-mountable ten-port Omada smart switch: eight Gigabit PoE+ ports sharing a 150 W budget, plus two Gigabit SFP slots for fibre uplink. Its internal AC supply and 150 W budget make it the choice where the eight-port desktop models run short of power, and it is managed centrally from an Omada Controller.
150 W Across Eight PoE+ Ports
Eight 802.3af/at ports share a 150 W PoE budget - nearly 19 W per port if every one is loaded, and comfortably enough for a mixed deployment of Wi-Fi 6 access points, IP phones, door controllers and cameras. That is a meaningful step up from the 61 W and 62 W budgets on the smaller Omada desktop PoE switches, and it is the reason this model tends to be specified where access points with higher draw are involved.
Two Gigabit SFP Slots for Fibre Uplink
Two Gigabit SFP slots sit alongside the copper ports, so the switch can backhaul over fibre to a core or aggregation layer rather than depending on a copper run. Fibre buys distance beyond the 100 m copper limit and electrical isolation between floors or buildings - useful when the switch is in a riser, a lift lobby or a separate block. The two slots also allow a redundant or aggregated uplink where the topology calls for it.
Rack-Mountable Metal Chassis With an Internal Power Supply
At 294 x 180 x 44 mm the SG2210MP is a 1U-height chassis that mounts in a rack with the supplied kit, or sits on a shelf on its rubber feet. Power is internal - 100-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz through a standard power cord - so there is no external brick to lose or to find space for, which matters in a tidy comms cabinet. Operating temperature is rated to 50 °C, higher than the desktop models in the range.
20 Gbps Fabric, 8K MAC Table and 9 KB Jumbo Frames
A 20 Gbps switching capacity and 14.9 Mpps forwarding rate cover all ten ports running full duplex simultaneously, so the fabric is never the constraint. The 8K MAC address table is sized for a busy access-layer switch carrying several VLANs and a wireless segment behind it, and the 4.1 Mbit packet buffer with 9 KB jumbo frame support absorbs the large bursty transfers that NAS, backup and video surveillance workloads generate.
Managed Centrally Through Omada SDN
Adopted into the Omada Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller, the SG2210MP is configured, monitored and updated alongside every other Omada device on site - one set of VLANs, one set of policies, one view of the network. PoE ports can be scheduled and power-cycled remotely from the controller, which saves a site visit when an access point or camera needs a hard reset. It also runs standalone through its own web interface.
Ideal For
Singapore offices, hotels, schools and multi-tenant sites that need a rack-mounted PoE+ access switch with fibre uplink, and integrators building Omada networks where access points and cameras draw more than a desktop switch can supply. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The SG2210MP is part of the Omada ecosystem: gateways, switches and access points are managed together from one controller, under one set of policies, with one view of the network. Cloud and app features listed below require the device to be adopted into an Omada Controller.
| Omada SDN Controller | Supported — Omada Cloud-Based Controller, Omada Hardware Controller or Omada Software Controller |
| Omada App | Supported — requires an Omada Controller |
| Omada Cloud Access | Supported — requires an Omada Controller |
| Standalone Mode | Supported — configure the switch on its own through its web interface |
| SFP Optics | 2× Gigabit SFP slots; modules and fibre patch leads are ordered separately — ask SourceIT to match optics to the run |

Frequently Asked Questions — SG2210MP
How does the SG2210MP differ from the TL-SG2210P?
Both give eight Gigabit PoE+ ports and two SFP slots, but the SG2210MP carries a 150 W PoE budget in a rack-mountable chassis with an internal power supply, while the TL-SG2210P is the earlier JetStream generation with a 61 W budget, a desktop chassis and an external adapter. Choose the SG2210MP where the powered devices need more than roughly 7 W each.
Are SFP modules included?
No. The two Gigabit SFP slots are supplied empty. SourceIT can quote TP-Link SFP optics and fibre patch leads to match the distance and fibre type of your run.
Does the SG2210MP need an Omada Controller?
No. It runs standalone through its own web interface. Adopting it into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller is what unlocks central configuration, monitoring, firmware management and cloud/app access across every Omada device on site.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, with a GST invoice on every unit. Send us your bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — controller, gateway, switching, access points and optics.
