TP-Link InSight S345 4MP Outdoor Full-Color Bullet Network Camera, 2.8mm Lens (InSight S345(2.8mm)) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The InSight S345 is TP-Link's 4MP full-colour outdoor bullet camera from the VIGI InSight series, recording up to 2688 x 1520 with H.265+ compression, people and vehicle analytics, two-way audio and active sound-and-light deterrence. This listing is the 2.8 mm fixed-lens version; the 4 mm and 6 mm lens versions are available separately. It takes one PoE cable, records locally to microSD up to 512 GB and is housed in an IP67-rated metal body.
4MP 2688 x 1520 Video With 24-Hour Full Colour
The 1/2.65-inch (V1.20) or 1/2.7-inch (V1) progressive-scan CMOS sensor and F1.6 aperture deliver 2688 x 1520 at up to 25 fps (50 Hz) or 30 fps (60 Hz), with a minimum illumination of 0.005 lux and 0 lux with IR or white light. Two IR LEDs and two white LEDs reach 30 m, controllable auto, scheduled, always on or always off, so night footage can stay in colour for identification of clothing and vehicles.
2.8 mm Lens Coverage and DORI Distances
At 2.8 mm, TP-Link publishes a field of view of horizontal 101.2°, vertical 57.9°, diagonal 118.1° (V1.20 hardware), with DORI distances of detect 64 m (210 ft), observe 27 m (89 ft), recognise 13 m (43 ft), identify 6 m (20 ft). The 2.8 mm lens favours wide coverage of yards, entrances and frontages close to the camera.
People & Vehicle Analytics and Smart Detection
Deep-learning People & Vehicle Analytics lets operators search and filter recordings by attributes of people or vehicles, cutting post-event review time (this function requires VIGI specified software). Motion detection is enhanced with human and vehicle classification to reduce false alerts, and smart events cover intrusion, line crossing, region entering and exiting, object abandoned and removed, loitering, people and vehicle detection, abnormal sound and scene change.
Active Defence and Two-Way Audio
A built-in microphone (5 m / 16.4 ft pickup radius) and speaker give two-way audio, and alarm linkage can trigger a sound alarm and a light alarm on the camera itself, alongside microSD recording, FTP upload, push notifications, email and an alarm server. That lets a site deter an intruder in the moment rather than only record them.
120 dB True WDR, H.265+ and Open Integration
120 dB WDR, BLC, HLC, 3D DNR and Smart IR handle backlit doorways and mixed lighting (only DWDR operates while People & Vehicle Analytics is enabled). H.265+ on the main stream, at 256 Kbps to 6 Mbps, reduces bandwidth and storage; ONVIF Profile G/S/T, 802.1X authentication and HTTPS let the camera sit in third-party or enterprise environments as well as the VIGI ecosystem.

Does the InSight S345 need a VIGI recorder?
No. It can record on its own to a microSD card of up to 512 GB and be viewed in the VIGI app. A VIGI NVR or VIGI VMS is worth adding for continuous recording, longer retention and multi-camera playback.
Which lens should I choose?
This listing is the 2.8 mm version (horizontal 101.2°). Choose InSight S345(4mm) or InSight S345(6mm) for the 4 mm or 6 mm lens; a longer focal length gives a narrower view with longer DORI distances.
How is it powered?
802.3af/at PoE over the network cable, or a 12 V DC adapter through a 5.5 mm coaxial plug. No adapter is listed in the box.
