PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 8-Port Gigabit Easy Smart Switch with 4-Port PoE+ (TL-SG108PE) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SG108PE is the eight-port Easy Smart switch with four 802.3af/at PoE+ ports and a 64 W budget. It powers a small cluster of access points, cameras or IP phones while still giving you VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping and PoE Auto Recovery from a fanless 158 mm desktop case.
Eight Gigabit Ports, Four of Them PoE+
All eight ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX; ports 1-4 also deliver 802.3af/at power from a total budget of 64 W. That is a practical allocation for two PoE+ access points and two cameras, or four lighter 802.3af devices. Power comes from an external 53.5 V DC/1.31 A adapter. The switch draws 5.41 W with nothing powered and 74.27 W at a full 64 W PoE load.
PoE Auto Recovery Keeps Remote Devices Alive
PoE Auto Recovery monitors each powered device and power-cycles its port when the device stops responding. On a site where the cameras or access points are up a ceiling or across a courtyard, that turns a site visit into a non-event. Combined with per-port PoE control from the web interface, it gives a small installation a lot of the operational behaviour normally associated with a managed switch.
VLAN Segmentation and Four QoS Queues
Up to 32 simultaneous VLANs are available from the full 4K VLAN ID range, in MTU, port-based and 802.1Q tag-based modes — so cameras, guest Wi-Fi and staff data can be kept apart on one switch. Quality of Service covers port-based, 802.1p and DSCP priority across four queues, with rate limiting and storm control. IGMP Snooping v1/v2/v3 stops camera multicast flooding every port, and static link aggregation gives you a wider uplink when one Gigabit port is not enough.
Fanless, Compact and Fully Documented
The chassis measures 158 x 101 x 25 mm and is fanless, so it fits on a shelf, in a cupboard or inside a wall cabinet without noise. Switching capacity is 16 Gbps with an 11.9 Mpps forwarding rate, a 4K MAC address table, 1.5 Mb of packet buffer and 16 KB jumbo frame support. Maximum heat dissipation is 18.45 BTU/h idle and 253.26 BTU/h at full PoE load — worth allowing for in an enclosed cabinet. Certification is FCC, CE and RoHS.
Ideal For
Singapore offices, retail units, clinics and small sites powering four PoE devices alongside four ordinary Gigabit connections, and integrators who need segmentation and PoE fault recovery without a rack. Supplied by SourceIT with five years local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The TL-SG108PE is an Easy Smart switch, managed on its own through a web browser or TP-Link's Easy Smart Configuration Utility. It is not an Omada SDN device and cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller — though it will power and carry traffic for Omada access points and other PoE devices. Where the switch itself must appear in an Omada Controller, ask us about the Omada JetStream smart and L2+ managed PoE ranges.
| Omada SDN Controller | Not supported — this model cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller |
| Omada App / Omada Cloud Access | Not supported |
| Powering Omada Access Points | Supported — 802.3af/at powered devices within the 64 W budget |
| Standalone Management | Supported — web-based GUI and Easy Smart Configuration Utility |
| Utility System Requirements | Microsoft Windows, for running the Easy Smart Configuration Utility |
| Hardware Versions Published | V3, V4, V5 (specifications above are as published on TP-Link's current product page) |

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SG108PE
How does it differ from the TL-SG108E?
Same eight Gigabit ports and the same Easy Smart management feature set. The TL-SG108PE adds four 802.3af/at PoE+ ports with a 64 W budget and PoE Auto Recovery; the TL-SG108E has no PoE.
How many devices will 64 W power?
It depends on the class of each device. Two 802.3at PoE+ access points plus two low-draw cameras is a realistic load. Send us the device list and we will check the budget for you.
Can it be adopted into an Omada Controller?
No. It manages itself through its own web interface. It can still power Omada access points — only the switch stays outside controller management.
Does it support Extend Mode for long cable runs?
TP-Link lists Extend Mode on the five-port TL-SG105PE but not in the TL-SG108PE specification, so we do not claim it here. Ask us if PoE distance beyond 100 m is a requirement and we will point you at a model that publishes it.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty under TP-Link's replacement warranty policy for Easy Smart PoE switches, with a GST invoice on every order.
