PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 8-Port 10/100Mbps + 3-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch with 8-Port PoE+ (TL-SL1311MP) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SL1311MP packs eight 802.3at PoE+ ports and a 124 W budget into a silent, fanless 209 mm desktop box, with two Gigabit RJ45 ports and a Gigabit SFP slot for uplink. It is the high-budget version of the TL-SL1311P, doubling the power available for cameras and access points in the same chassis.
124 W Across Eight PoE+ Ports in a Fanless Desktop Box
Ports 1 to 8 are 802.3af/at compliant, and 124 W across eight ports averages 15.5 W each with everything loaded — enough to run a full set of 802.3at cameras or dual-band access points rather than only a couple. That is nearly double the budget of the otherwise identical TL-SL1311P, and it is the reason to choose this model. Power negotiation is automatic, so nothing needs configuring and non-PoE devices are left unpowered.
Two Gigabit Ports and a Gigabit SFP Slot for Uplink
Two Gigabit RJ45 ports and one Gigabit SFP port sit alongside the Fast Ethernet access ports. Eight 100 Mbps ports generate at most 800 Mbps of aggregate traffic, so a single Gigabit uplink already carries the switch — the second RJ45 typically feeds an NVR or a server directly, while the SFP slot reaches a core switch over fibre where the run exceeds 100 m or crosses between buildings. Switching capacity is 7.6 Gbps against a 5.6544 Mpps forwarding rate.
Extend, Isolation and PoE Auto Recovery on Hardware Buttons
Three mode buttons cover what installers normally need. Extend mode carries power and data up to 250 m on a single run, reaching a perimeter camera or a gate reader without an intermediate cabinet. Isolation mode confines ports 1 to 8 to the uplink so edge devices cannot see one another. PoE Auto Recovery watches powered devices and power-cycles a port whose device has stopped responding, which removes most of the site visits that a frozen camera would otherwise cause.
Silent, Compact and Deskmountable
At 209 × 126 × 26 mm and completely fanless, the TL-SL1311MP is quiet enough to sit in a reception area, a retail back office or a meeting room rather than only in a comms cupboard. Power comes from an external 53.5 VDC / 2.43 A adapter, so the mains side stays outside the chassis. Draw is 5.95 W with nothing powered and 140.92 W with a full 124 W of powered devices attached; the operating range is 0-40 °C.
Where It Fits Against Its Siblings
Within the 11-port desktop family, the TL-SL1311MP and TL-SL1311P share ports, dimensions and fabric; the only substantive difference is PoE budget, 124 W against 65 W, and the power adapter that comes with it. Choose the MP for 802.3at devices — PTZ domes, video door stations, illuminated cameras, tri-band access points — and the P where the load is a handful of 802.3af devices and the lower budget is sufficient.
Ideal For
Singapore SMEs, retail units, clinics and small offices powering a cluster of cameras or access points where a rack is not available, and integrators who want PoE Auto Recovery to cut down truck rolls. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The TL-SL1311MP is an unmanaged switch. Extend, Isolation and PoE Auto Recovery are hardware buttons on the unit; there is no web interface, no CLI and no SNMP agent, and the switch cannot be adopted into an Omada SDN Controller or managed from the Omada app. Where VLANs, 802.1X or central monitoring are required, SourceIT can quote a JetStream smart or Omada-managed switch.
| Management | Unmanaged — hardware mode buttons only |
| Omada SDN Controller | Not supported on this model |
| Powered Devices | Any IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at compliant PD — IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones, access-control readers |
| Optics | Gigabit SFP port accepts a 1000BASE-X MMF or SMF module |
| Long-Reach Cabling | Extend mode supports up to 250 m on a single run at reduced throughput |

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SL1311MP
TL-SL1311MP or TL-SL1311P?
Same ports, same chassis, same fabric — the difference is the PoE budget and the supplied adapter: 124 W on the MP, 65 W on the P. Specify the MP if your powered devices are 802.3at, or if you want headroom to add devices later.
What does PoE Auto Recovery do?
It monitors each powered device and automatically power-cycles the port if the device stops responding. For a frozen camera or access point that would otherwise need someone on site to unplug it, this usually clears the fault by itself.
Can I mount this in a rack?
TP-Link specifies it as a desktop switch and the box contains no rack ears. A third-party 1U shelf or tray is the usual approach if it must live in a rack. Ask SourceIT and we will include one in the quote.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, under TP-Link's Omada replacement warranty policy. Every unit sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Is stock held locally?
SourceIT holds fast-moving Omada lines in Singapore. Anything not in local stock is brought in on indent — ask us for the current lead time before committing to a project date.
