PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 5-Port Gigabit Desktop PoE Switch with 4-Port PoE+ (TL-SG1005LP) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SG1005LP is the light-duty member of TP-Link's five-port PoE family: the same 99 mm fanless chassis and four 802.3at ports as the TL-SG1005P, but with a 40 W budget and a smaller adapter for sites where the powered devices are modest. It is unmanaged, so there is nothing to configure and nothing to maintain.
Four PoE+ Ports Sharing 40 W
Ports 1 to 4 are 802.3af and 802.3at compliant, drawing from a 40 W shared budget; port 5 is the uplink. Forty watts is well matched to three or four low-draw devices — indoor fixed cameras, IP phones, door readers, a single access point — which is exactly the load profile of a small shop, clinic or meeting room. If the site has heavier devices, the 65 W TL-SG1005P is the direct step up in the same chassis.
10 Gbps Fabric, IGMP Snooping and QoS Running Automatically
All five ports run Gigabit full duplex on a 10 Gbps non-blocking fabric with a 7.44 Mpps forwarding rate. A 2K MAC address table suits the endpoint count of a switch this size, and 16 KB jumbo frame support benefits NVR and file-transfer traffic. IGMP snooping keeps multicast video off uninterested ports, and 802.1p/DSCP QoS with 802.3x flow control operate without exposure to the user.
Small, Silent and Low-Power
At 99.8 x 98 x 25 mm and fanless, the switch is silent and takes almost no space — it fits inside a desk, behind a display or in a shallow wall cabinet. Idle consumption is only 4.12 W with nothing powered, rising to 47.5 W with the full 40 W load connected, and the external adapter is rated 53.5 V DC / 0.81 A, noticeably lighter than the adapters on the higher-budget models.
Ideal For
Singapore shops, clinics, small offices and meeting rooms powering a few IP phones, indoor cameras or a single access point, where budget and footprint matter more than PoE headroom. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SG1005LP
How does this differ from the TL-SG1005P?
Same chassis, same five Gigabit ports, same four PoE+ ports. The difference is the budget: 40 W here against 65 W on the TL-SG1005P, with a correspondingly smaller power adapter. If the powered devices are light, the LP is the cheaper choice; if they are access points or heavier cameras, choose the P.
Will 40 W run four devices?
Four low-draw 802.3af devices at around 8 to 10 W each will fit. Anything at the full 802.3at 30 W will consume most of the budget on its own. Send us the device list and we will check the numbers.
Can it be adopted into an Omada Controller?
No. It is unmanaged and will not appear in a controller, though it powers and connects Omada access points normally.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, in line with TP-Link's replacement warranty policy for unmanaged PoE switches. Every unit sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole build — switching, access points, cameras and optics — with local warranty and support.
