PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 5-Port 2.5G Desktop Switch with 4-Port PoE++ (TL-SG105PP-M2) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SG105PP-M2 pairs 2.5 Gigabit copper on every port with 802.3bt PoE++ on four of them, which is the combination Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points actually need: enough bandwidth that the uplink is not the bottleneck, and enough power that no injector is required. Five 2.5G ports, a 123 W budget and a fanless 209 mm chassis, with no configuration to do.
Every Port Runs at 2.5 Gbps Over Existing Cabling
All five RJ45 ports auto-negotiate 10, 100, 1000 and 2500 Mbps, so a 2.5G link runs over the Cat5e or Cat6 already in the wall — no re-cabling. That matters because a modern tri-band access point can push more than a Gigabit of real client traffic, and a Gigabit switch port quietly caps it. The same applies to a NAS or a workstation moving large files: 2.5G removes the ceiling without the cost and heat of 10G.
Four 802.3bt PoE++ Ports Sharing 123 W
Ports 1 to 4 are 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt Type 3 compliant with a 123 W system budget. That is the wattage class that covers Wi-Fi 7 access points, PTZ and outdoor cameras, and video bars — devices a 30 W PoE+ port cannot fully supply. Because the budget is shared rather than fixed per port, one heavy device and three light ones is as valid as four moderate ones. Consumption is 7.57 W with nothing powered and 143.37 W with a full 123 W load.
25 Gbps Fabric With PoE Auto Recovery
The 25 Gbps switching capacity and 18.6 Mpps forwarding rate cover all five 2.5G ports at full duplex, so the switch does not oversubscribe under load. A 4K MAC address table is ample for the client count behind a handful of access points. PoE Auto Recovery on ports 1 to 4 detects a powered device that has stopped responding and power-cycles the port, which removes most of the "the camera froze again" call-outs. IGMP snooping, 802.1p/DSCP QoS and 802.3x flow control all run without setup.
Fanless, Compact and Silent
At 209 x 126 x 26 mm with no fan, the switch is silent and small enough for a reception desk, a meeting room cabinet or a shelf in a small comms cupboard. Power comes from an external 53.5 V DC / 2.43 A adapter, which keeps the heat of the PoE supply outside the chassis. Rubber feet are supplied in the box for desktop use.
Ideal For
Singapore offices, studios and small sites deploying Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 access points, multi-gigabit NAS or high-draw cameras where a rack and a managed switch would be overkill. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

TP-Link publishes no packet buffer, jumbo frame, EAN or carton pack size figure for this model, so those rows are omitted rather than carried across from a sibling. The Network Media row is reproduced as published, which does not list a 2500BASE-T entry even though all five ports negotiate 2.5 Gbps.
Compatibility & Software Support
The TL-SG105PP-M2 is an unmanaged switch. There is no web interface, command line or controller adoption — it forwards traffic and supplies power as soon as it is cabled.
| Omada SDN Controller | Not supported — this model cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller |
| Omada App / Cloud Access | Not supported |
| Web Management | None — unmanaged, plug and play |
| Powering Omada Devices | Supported — ports 1–4 deliver 802.3bt Type 3 PoE++ to Omada Wi-Fi 6E/Wi-Fi 7 access points, cameras and other powered devices |
| If You Need Central Management | Choose an Omada JetStream smart or L2+ managed multi-gigabit switch instead — ask SourceIT for the equivalent model |

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SG105PP-M2
Will it power a Wi-Fi 7 access point?
Ports 1 to 4 supply 802.3bt Type 3 PoE++, which is the class most Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points ask for. Check the specific AP's required power class against the 123 W shared budget — send us the model and we will confirm.
Do I need Cat6A cabling for the 2.5G ports?
No. 2.5GBASE-T was designed to run over existing Cat5e and Cat6 at up to 100 m, which is the main reason to choose 2.5G over 10G in an existing building.
Can it be adopted into an Omada Controller?
No. It is unmanaged, so it will not appear in a controller, though it powers and connects Omada access points normally. Ask us about the JetStream managed multi-gigabit range if the switch itself needs to be managed.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, in line with TP-Link's replacement warranty policy for unmanaged PoE switches. Every unit sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole build — switching, access points, cameras and optics — with local warranty and support.
