PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 24-Port 10/100Mbps Rackmount Switch (TL-SF1024) - Local Warranty
The TL-SF1024 is a full-width 1U Fast Ethernet switch with 24 ports, an internal power supply and a physical security lock point. It is unmanaged, fanless and configuration-free - built for racks full of low-bandwidth endpoints such as IP phones, door controllers, POS lanes and legacy serial-to-Ethernet gear where a steel chassis and a lock matter more than speed.
24 Fast Ethernet Ports Across a Full 19-inch Chassis
Every port is 10/100Mbps RJ45 with auto-negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX, so straight-through and crossover cables both work and each device settles its own speed and duplex. The chassis is the full 440 x 180 x 44 mm rack width even though it carries 24 ports rather than 48, which means wide port spacing and an easier patch field than a compact 24-port unit. A rackmount kit and rubber feet are both included, so it can equally sit on a shelf.
Physical Security Lock Point for Exposed Installations
Unusually for an unmanaged switch at this price, the TL-SF1024 provides a physical security lock point. That matters where the switch cannot live behind a locked cabinet door - a retail back room, a school corridor cupboard, a warehouse mezzanine or a shared-tenancy riser - and the realistic risk is someone walking off with the hardware rather than attacking the network. The lock secures the chassis to the rack or to fixed furniture using a standard security cable.
4.8 Gbps Non-Blocking Fabric With a 2 Mb Packet Buffer
Switching capacity is 4.8 Gbps, which is 24 ports at 100Mbps in both directions at once, so the backplane never becomes the constraint. The packet forwarding rate of 3.57 Mpps holds that up at minimum frame size, and an 8K MAC address table is well beyond what a 24-port Fast Ethernet segment normally needs. The 2 Mb buffer memory absorbs short bursts - a backup kicking off, or several endpoints transmitting at once - instead of dropping frames, and store-and-forward switching discards corrupt frames before they are passed on.
3.19W Maximum Draw and No Moving Parts
Maximum power consumption is 3.19W at 220V/50Hz with heat dissipation of 10.88 BTU/h, which is remarkably low for a 24-port rack switch and is a direct result of TP-Link's Green Technology reducing draw on idle ports. There is no fan, so the unit is silent and has no bearing to fail - a meaningful reliability point in a dusty plant room or a ceiling void. Power comes from the internal 100-240VAC supply via a single IEC cord rather than an external brick.
Unmanaged: No VLANs, No PoE, No Controller
The TL-SF1024 has no management interface, no VLAN or QoS configuration and no PoE. It is not an Omada SDN device and cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller. Where a project needs segmentation, powered devices or central visibility, SourceIT can quote the equivalent Omada smart or managed switch. This model is the right answer when the requirement is genuinely a silent, lockable, rack-mounted Fast Ethernet aggregation point that never needs touching again.
Ideal For
Singapore retail, education, hospitality and industrial sites consolidating low-bandwidth endpoints into a rack, and any installation where the switch is physically exposed and needs a lock point. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SF1024
How does the TL-SF1024 differ from the TL-SF1024D?
Both give 24 Fast Ethernet ports. The TL-SF1024 is full 19-inch rack width with an internal power supply and a security lock point; the TL-SF1024D is a shorter 294 mm desktop/rackmount unit running on an external 9VDC adapter. Ask SourceIT which suits the cabinet.
Can it be configured or managed?
No. There is no web interface, no VLAN or QoS support and no SNMP. For segmentation or central management, SourceIT can quote the equivalent Omada smart or managed switch.
Does it supply PoE?
No. The TL-SF1024 has no PoE ports. Powered devices need a PoE injector or a PoE switch.
Is this model still available?
TP-Link lists the TL-SF1024 as End of Life, so availability is limited. Ask SourceIT to confirm current stock and, where relevant, the closest current alternative before committing to a project date.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Local Singapore warranty, with a GST invoice on every unit. Ask us to confirm the current warranty duration for this model before purchase.
