The VIGI C230I Mini is a 114 mm plastic dome that records 2304x1296 at up to 30 fps, sees 30 m in the dark on two 850 nm IR LEDs, and classifies people and vehicles on the camera itself. A single PoE cable carries power and video, a microSD card holds footage on board, and the built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio for a small reception, corridor or shop floor.

3MP Recording With H.265+ Encoding

Maximum resolution is 2304x1296, with the main stream also offering 2048x1280, 1920x1080 and 1280x720 at frame rates up to 25 fps on 50 Hz or 30 fps on 60 Hz. Main-stream encoding is H.265+, H.265, H.264+ or H.264 at 256 Kbps to 4 Mbps; the sub-stream runs H.265 or H.264 at 64 to 512 Kbps. TP-Link notes that if image rotation is set to 90 or 270 degrees the frame rate is capped at 20 fps.

Smart Detection With Human and Vehicle Classification

Smart events cover human and vehicle classification, area intrusion, line crossing, people detection, vehicle detection, region entering and exiting, object abandoned and object removal. Basic events cover motion detection, video tampering and illegal-login exception. Linkages are microSD recording, push message and audible warning. Because classification happens on the camera, these events work whether the camera is paired with a VIGI recorder or running standalone.

30 m IR Night Vision and a 106.9 Degree View

The fixed 2.8 mm F1.6 lens gives a 106.9 degree horizontal and 127.9 degree diagonal field of view. Two IR LEDs reach 30 m at 850 nm, with on/off control set to auto, scheduled, always on or always off. Minimum illumination is 0.01 Lux in colour and 0 Lux with the IR light on. DORI distances are published as detect 49 m, observe 20 m, recognise 10 m and identify 5 m. Image processing includes BLC, 3D DNR, HLC, SmartIR and DWDR.

PoE or DC Power, On-Board microSD Storage

One RJ-45 10/100 Mbps port carries 802.3af/at class 0 PoE at up to 8.5 W, or the camera can run from 12 V DC at up to 7.5 W through a 5.5 mm coaxial plug. The built-in slot takes a microSD card up to 256 GB, so recording continues even if the network drops. Manual adjustment covers pan -30 to 30 degrees, tilt 0 to 85 degrees and rotate -15 to 15 degrees, and the housing is rated IK08 against impact.

Managed From the VIGI App, Web UI or Security Manager

The camera is managed from the VIGI app, the VIGI Security Manager desktop software or its own web UI, and works with third-party systems through ONVIF Profile S. Protocols include HTTPS, SSL/TLS, RTSP, DHCP, DNS, NTP and UPnP, with password protection, HTTPS encryption, IP address filtering and digest authentication. Up to three main streams and three sub-streams can be viewed at once.
