PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 16-Port Gigabit Rackmount Switch (TL-SG1016) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-SG1016 is a sixteen-port Gigabit unmanaged switch in a fanless 19-inch rack chassis — the quiet, low-power way to add wired capacity to a comms cabinet. A 32 Gbps fabric, 8K MAC table and loop prevention across all sixteen ports mean it handles a real office access layer, while drawing under 10 W and making no noise at all.
Sixteen Gigabit Ports, Fanless and Silent
Every port auto-negotiates 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps with Auto MDI/MDIX, so any cable works either way round. What distinguishes this model from most sixteen-port rack switches is that it has no fan: at a maximum 9.26 W draw there is nothing to cool actively. In a cabinet shared with an office or a meeting room that matters, and it removes the single moving part most likely to fail in service.
Loop Prevention and Port Isolation Built In
Loop Prevention runs across ports 1 to 16 and shuts down a port that has been patched back into the switch, which is the most common way a small network is brought down by accident. Isolation Mode on ports 1 to 14 separates client ports from one another for guest or public segments. Both are hardware behaviours rather than configuration — there is no interface to log into and nothing to set up.
32 Gbps Fabric With an 8K MAC Table
The 32 Gbps switching capacity covers all sixteen ports at full duplex simultaneously, and the 23.8 Mpps forwarding rate sustains line rate at minimum frame size. An 8K MAC address table is generous for a switch of this size, so it copes with a floor of endpoints behind access points and daisy-chained desk switches. Jumbo frames up to 10 KB help NAS and backup traffic, and Green Technology reduces power on idle and short links.
19-Inch 1U Chassis, Kit Included
At 440 x 180 x 44 mm the switch fits a standard rack and ships with both rackmount kits and rubber feet, so the same unit works on a shelf. Power is 100-240 VAC through a supplied cord with no external adapter. Maximum heat dissipation is 35.6 BTU/h, low enough that the switch adds negligible load to a cabinet's cooling.
Ideal For
Singapore offices, workshops and schools adding sixteen wired ports to a rack where nothing needs to be configured, powered over Ethernet or managed. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
The TL-SG1016 is an unmanaged switch with no PoE. There is no web interface, command line or controller adoption.
| Omada SDN Controller | Not supported — this model cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller |
| Omada App / Cloud Access | Not supported |
| Web Management | None — unmanaged, plug and play |
| Power over Ethernet | Not supported — this model does not supply PoE on any port |
| If You Need PoE or Central Management | Choose an Omada JetStream smart or L2+ managed switch, or a TL-SG1218MP for unmanaged PoE+ — ask SourceIT for the equivalent model |

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-SG1016
Does it supply PoE?
No. The TL-SG1016 has no PoE on any port. If you need to power cameras or access points from the switch, look at the TL-SG1218MP (16 PoE+ ports, 250 W) or ask us for the JetStream equivalent.
Is it really fanless at sixteen ports?
Yes. TP-Link publishes a maximum draw of 9.26 W and a Fanless design, so there is no moving part and no noise — unusual for a rack switch of this size and a genuine advantage in a shared cabinet.
Can it be adopted into an Omada Controller?
No. It is unmanaged and has no management interface of any kind.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, in line with TP-Link's replacement warranty policy for unmanaged Gigabit switches. Every unit sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole build — switching, access points, cameras and optics — with local warranty and support.
