The TL-SF1016 is a full 19-inch, 1U Fast Ethernet switch with 16 ports, an internal power supply and a security lock point. Unmanaged and fanless, it draws a maximum of 2.1W and needs no configuration - a durable, silent aggregation point for modest port counts in a rack where cabling neatness and a steel chassis matter.

16 Ports Spread Across a Full-Width 1U Chassis

Every port is 10/100Mbps RJ45 with auto-negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX, so each device settles its own speed and duplex and either cable type works. At 440 x 180 x 44 mm the switch occupies the full rack width for only 16 ports, which gives unusually generous port spacing - easier fingers-and-boots access when re-patching a live cabinet, and less strain on cable boots than a compact 16-port unit. A rackmount kit and rubber feet are supplied.

2.1W Maximum Draw With No Fan and No External Brick

Maximum power consumption is 2.1W, published also as 2.06W at 220V/50Hz, with heat dissipation of 7.03 BTU/h - low enough that the switch adds essentially nothing to a cabinet's thermal load. Power is taken directly from 100-240VAC at 50/60Hz through an internal supply, so there is one IEC cord and no adapter to be knocked loose or lost. There is no fan, making the unit silent and removing the one moving part that normally fails in a dusty plant room.

3.2 Gbps Non-Blocking Fabric With a 2 Mb Buffer

Switching capacity of 3.2 Gbps is 16 ports at 100Mbps running full duplex at once, so the fabric never oversubscribes regardless of traffic pattern. The 2.38 Mpps packet forwarding rate holds that up at minimum frame size, and the 8K MAC address table is far more than a 16-port segment requires, so the switch will not start flooding when a busy VLAN sits behind it. A 2 Mb buffer memory absorbs bursts, and store-and-forward transmission drops corrupted frames rather than propagating them onward.

Security Lock Point and 802.3x Flow Control

The chassis includes a physical security lock point, useful where the rack is open or shared between tenants and the realistic risk is theft rather than intrusion. On the network side, IEEE 802.3x flow control lets a congested port ask the sender to pause instead of silently discarding frames, which protects throughput when a Gigabit uplink feeds this Fast Ethernet segment. Green Technology reduces draw on ports with no link detected, which is why the headline consumption is barely two watts.

Unmanaged: No VLANs, No PoE, No Controller

There is no web interface, no VLAN or QoS configuration, no SNMP and no PoE, and this is not an Omada SDN device - it cannot be adopted into an Omada Controller.
