PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link 150Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter (TL-WN727N) - 3 Years Local Warranty

The TL-WN727N is a 69 x 21 x 9.5 mm USB 2.0 adapter that adds 150 Mbps 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to a desktop or laptop. It carries a WPS button for one-press joining and an internal antenna, and TP-Link supplies a USB extension cable in the box so the adapter can be lifted away from the back of a desktop case.

N150 Wi-Fi for Machines Without It

Published standards are IEEE 802.11n, 802.11g and 802.11b on 2.400-2.4835 GHz, with signal rates of up to 150 Mbps on 11n, 54 Mbps on 11g and 11 Mbps on 11b. N150 is a single-stream rate — ample for browsing, email, messaging, video calls and streaming on a machine used for office work. For a desktop that has never had wireless, or a laptop whose internal card has failed, this is the least expensive route to a working connection.

WPS Button and WPA2 Encryption

A WPS button on the adapter joins a WPS-capable router with a single press, which saves typing the long passphrase printed on the router label. Published wireless security covers 64/128-bit WEP and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, so the link can be protected to the same standard as the rest of the network. Transmission power is published at under 20 dBm EIRP.

USB Extension Cable Included

TP-Link includes a USB extension cable with this model. On a desktop the USB ports usually sit at the back of a metal case, often under a desk against a wall — among the worst positions in a room for a 2.4 GHz radio. Bringing the adapter up onto the desk on the extension cable regularly improves throughput more than any software setting will.

Check the Operating System Before You Order

TP-Link's published system requirements for this model are Windows 8.1/8 (32/64-bit), Windows 7 (32/64-bit), Windows XP (32/64-bit) and Linux. No macOS release is on the published list for this model, and neither is Windows 10 or Windows 11. Driver availability changes over time — check TP-Link's download page for your hardware version, linked below, or ask us before ordering for a modern machine or for a Mac.

Ideal For

Older Windows desktops and laptops in Singapore homes, workshops and small offices that need inexpensive wireless added, and IT teams keeping spare adapters on hand for machines with failed wireless cards. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
