PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link Omada 100-240V Redundant Power Supply Module (TL-MCRP100) - Local Warranty

The TL-MCRP100 is the redundant power supply module for TP-Link's TL-MC1400 14-slot media converter chassis. It takes 100-240 V AC and supplies 9.5 V DC at 9.5 A to the backplane, so a fully populated chassis keeps running if the primary supply fails. A single internal fan handles cooling. It is a chassis accessory, not a standalone converter.

Second Supply for a Fully Populated Chassis

A 14-slot chassis concentrates a great many fibre links into one box, which makes its power supply a single point of failure for all of them. Fitting the TL-MCRP100 alongside the primary module means a supply fault takes out one module rather than every converter in the rack. For sites where the chassis carries inter-building or tenant links, that is usually the difference between a logged fault and an outage.

Wide-Range AC Input, 9.5 V DC Output

The module accepts 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz drawing up to 3 A, which covers Singapore's 230 V supply with margin and allows the same part to be used on sites abroad. Output to the chassis backplane is 9.5 V DC at 9.5 A. Because the module is fed independently, the two supplies can be taken from separate circuits or separate UPS feeds, which protects against a tripped breaker as well as a failed supply.

Built for Continuous Operation in a Rack

TP-Link publishes an operating range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and a storage range of -35 to 85 degrees, both wider than the converters the chassis carries, so the module is not the limiting factor in a warm comms room. Operating humidity is 20 to 90 percent RH non-condensing. One fan provides active cooling. At 210 x 130 x 70 mm the module is sized to slot into the chassis rather than to sit on a shelf.

Ideal For

Singapore sites running a TL-MC1400 chassis where the fibre links it carries cannot tolerate a power-supply failure — building risers, tenant distribution, campus links and anywhere the chassis sits in a rack shared with production equipment.

TP-Link has marked the TL-MCRP100 End of Life. Availability is limited to remaining stock. Contact SourceIT for current availability and for advice on the recommended alternative before specifying this module for a new project.

Compatibility & Software Support

The TL-MCRP100 is a passive power module. It has no firmware, no licence and no management interface of its own, and it cannot be adopted into an Omada Software Controller, Hardware Controller or Cloud-Based Controller. The chassis it sits in owns the installation; the module simply supplies it.

Compatible Chassis TL-MC1400 — 14-Slot Rackmount Chassis (the only chassis TP-Link lists for this module)
Omada SDN Controller Not supported — the module cannot be adopted or centrally managed
Management Interface None published — no web GUI, CLI or firmware
Role Redundant (secondary) supply, fitted alongside the chassis primary supply

TP-Link lists the TL-MC1400 as the compatible chassis for this module and publishes no other. If you are working with a different chassis, send us the model and we will confirm before quoting rather than assume it fits.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-MCRP100

Which chassis does this module fit?

TP-Link lists the TL-MC1400 14-slot rackmount chassis and no other. Send us your chassis model if it differs and we will confirm before quoting.

Is this a replacement supply or an additional one?

It is a redundant supply, fitted alongside the chassis primary supply so that a failure of one does not take the chassis down. It can of course also be used as a spare.

Can the two supplies be fed from different circuits?

Yes. Each module takes its own 100-240 V AC feed, so they can be taken from separate circuits or separate UPS outputs, which also protects against a tripped breaker rather than only a failed module.

What warranty does SourceIT provide?

Local Singapore warranty. TP-Link's Omada replacement warranty schedule does not list a duration for rackmount power modules, so we do not state one here — ask us for the current terms before ordering. Every TL-MCRP100 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.

Is it still available?

TP-Link has marked it End of Life, so supply is limited to remaining stock. Contact SourceIT for current availability and lead time before committing to a project date.
