Surface Pro and Surface Go tablets are compact and light, which is exactly what makes them easy for someone else to walk off with. The Targus ASP100GLX-60 is a 4-digit resettable combination lock that anchors your Surface device to a desk, cabinet leg or any fixed point, so it stays put in classrooms, front-of-house counters, shared meeting rooms, and hot-desking floors where a device is left unattended between sessions.
No key to lose, no key to manage
Because it uses a resettable 4-digit combination rather than a physical key, there's nothing for staff to check out, lose, or duplicate. IT admins can set a shared code for a pool of loaner devices, or assign a unique code per user — useful for schools, libraries, and any organisation issuing Surface devices to multiple people over time.
What it does and doesn't include
The ASP100GLX-60 is the lock and cable assembly. It engages with the standard Surface Pro/Go security slot fitted to the compatible models listed below. Targus's separate security base plate (PA400P) is not included in this package — if your device or setup requires a base plate for the lock to engage, that is ordered separately.

Does this lock work with my Surface Pro 11?
Yes, Surface Pro 11 is on the supported list, along with Pro 4 through Pro 10 and the Surface Go range down to the original Go.
Do I need the PA400P base plate to use this lock?
Depends on your Surface model and whether it already has a security slot cut into the chassis. The ASP100GLX-60 package does not include the PA400P — check your device first, and ask us if you're unsure.
Is this the same as the ASP100GLX-50 you also sell?
No. ASP100GLX-60 and ASP100GLX-50 are separate Targus part numbers listed individually on our store. Treat them as different products — we don't confirm one replaces or supersedes the other.
Can I set my own combination?
Yes, it's a 4-digit resettable combination lock, so you can set and change the code yourself without a key.
What happens if I forget the combination?
Reset procedures for Targus combination locks are covered in Targus's own documentation. Email us the SKU and we'll point you to the right instructions.
Will this fit a Surface tablet in a third-party case?
The lock engages with the Surface security slot itself, so a case covering that slot may block it. Check your case's cutouts before ordering.
Does this come with local warranty and a GST invoice?
