Which displays it is for

The SBB-SS08FV2 exists to add a Tizen MagicINFO player to a display that has no embedded system-on-chip. Samsung's video wall panels are exactly that case: they are built as pure display tiles with no player on board, so a source is always required. These current video wall models in our range all pair with this player — Samsung VM55C-E, Samsung VM55C-R, Samsung VH55C-E, Samsung VH55C-R and Samsung VM55H-E. It will equally drive an older Samsung panel or a third-party screen that has an HDMI input.

Mounting

At 206.4 x 29.9 x 165.6 mm and 0.6 kg the player is designed to sit behind the display or within the mount rather than on a shelf or in a rack. Check the clearance behind the panel on a slim video wall mount before you finalise the bracket, since the depth available behind a tiled array is often the tightest dimension in the whole installation. Samsung does not publish a bracket or mounting-kit part number for this model on its Singapore data, so we do not claim one here.

What it connects to

One HDMI output with HDCP 2.2 carries UHD at 60 Hz to the display. Two USB 2.0 ports take local media and peripherals, Ethernet provides a wired network path for content delivery and monitoring, and RS232C in and out give integrators serial control and daisy-chaining across a multi-screen installation. Samsung does not publish built-in Wi-Fi for this model, so plan on a wired network drop at the player position.

Content management

The player runs Tizen 7.0 with MagicINFO Premium S and Player S10, so scheduling, playlists, templates, device health monitoring and remote power control all happen from the same MagicINFO console as the rest of your Samsung estate. Storage is 8 GB eMMC with approximately 3 GB usable for content, so plan large video libraries as scheduled downloads or streams rather than as a permanent local cache.

Will it drive a non-Samsung display?
