ADF and Flatbed in One Compact Scanner
The Ricoh SP-1425 combines a 50-sheet duplex automatic document feeder with an A4 flatbed, designed for offices with limited space. It scans at 25 pages per minute simplex and 50 images per minute duplex (A4 portrait, 200/300 dpi) and is rated by Ricoh for an expected daily volume of 4,000 sheets.
Passports, Cards and Fragile Originals
Use the ADF for everyday office paperwork and the flatbed for plastic cards, passports, old fragile documents and booklets. The flatbed takes originals up to 216 x 297 mm with no paper weight limitation, and the first flatbed scan is ready in 4 seconds (200/300 dpi).
Simple Two-Button Operation
With just two buttons to press, the SP-1425 is easy for anyone in the office to use. An ultrasonic sensor detects overlapping sheets in the ADF, helping keep feeding stable and preventing lost pages.
PaperStream Software Included
PaperStream IP for SP Series (TWAIN/ISIS) automatically converts scans into clean images and helps improve OCR accuracy even with wrinkled or soiled documents. PaperStream Capture and PaperStream ClickScan are supplied for scanning workflows, and the scanner connects by USB 2.0.

How fast is the SP-1425?

Can it scan passports and ID cards?
Yes. Place plastic cards, passports, booklets or fragile originals on the flatbed, which has no paper weight limitation.
Can it be shared on the network?
No. The SP-1425 connects by USB 2.0 only. For a network-ready ADF scanner, see the SP-1120N / SP-1125N / SP-1130N.
Does it work with a Mac?
Ricoh lists Windows, Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu) support for the SP-1425. macOS is not listed in the datasheet.
